This place is great - so good, we went back the next night. The cuisine is delicious; clearly a lot of care goes into preparation and selection of ingredients. And they are very generous with portions. You won't leave hungry, that's for sure. Will definitely go back.

We recently had dinner at this little restaurant run by a young couple living on the island. It was delightful, and so were they! There are many reasons to visit Saturna: peace and quiet, kayaking, whale watching, etc., and this restaurant. I'm serious, may the journey for that and nothing else, and it will be worth it.
While Sarah-Dawn welcomed us to the intimidate dining space, Francesco was busy at their outdoor pizza oven preparing authentic Neopolitan creations. It's obvious they love what they do, and this makes dining here even more special.
The menu is refined through guest feedback and their annual trip back to Italy, keeping it fresh and tasty. We both enjoyed our meals and hope to back again.

Wow!! We met Emma on the ferry who is a server at the restaurant and recommended we try this place. We packed up our little boat and made the voyage to Saturna from Pender island. This was not just a wonderful meal….it was an event!! Amazing food, wine and service. We were treated like family members. Thank you for a magical evening and we will see you again soon!!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! Just popped in last night for pizza to celebrate my husband’s birthday and La Cucina did not disappoint. Somehow the General Store that I’ve been to many times is magically transformed into an Italian trattoria and the vibes are great. We had the Boscaiola and Quattro Formaggi (with added sausage) and my raised-in-Italy husband declares it to be the “best in BC”. The pizza chef is Italian after all. Top it all off with nonna’s tiramisu and espresso affogato. Thank you so much Sarah-Dawn and Francesco for your hospitality!! Can’t wait to be back.

This lovely restaurant was delicious- we went to pizza night on the Friday night - started with the Caesar salad and tried two different pizzas. Delicious! Saturday night we came back for pasta night. We had the focaccia, pasta with ragu & meat lasagna. The homemade pasta was perfect. We had their Italian red which paired well with the dinner. We finished with the tiramisu that was fabulous. The atmosphere was lovely and the service spectacular.

Exceptional hospitality and Italian cuisine! We arrived to see a beautifully set outdoor table with a card for my dad's birthday. Our family shared plates of freshly made pasta, lasagna and salads. Each one was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the spinach fusilli with pesto. We always find a bit of magic on Saturna Island, and tonight it was at La Cucina.
