Easily the worst meal I’ve had in a long time. And the wait time for lukewarm and overcooked food was close to 45 minutes. And then had to wait another 20 minutes after we asked for our bill. PLEASE save your money and do not come here.

We popped in for an Anniversary drink and appies , 8 of us . The table was sticky and the menus were filthy . It took us half hour to get our first drink ( I ordered a bulldog and it was practically warm when it arrived ) our appies and my husbands stir fry were ice cold . The next bulldog was better after I asked for it to be made properly( with slush ) Altho my husbands bulldog had the keeper of a jigger in his that looked like a washer , easily could have choked . So they offered a free beer .
Just a terrible overall experience . Expected way more than the lack of service and poor quality of cold food we got for what we paid .
We always went annually on the Aug long and will never go again .

The food itself was quite good though they did get 2 out of 3 meals wrong. The waitress we had really lacked skills. Waited for long time for service, didn’t seem to want to answer questions about menu, If you have allergies not really the place to go ( though maybe diff wait staff could be better ) unfortunately not much to choose from for restaurant/pubs. Only time service good was when asked for bill 🤷‍♀️.

Horrible experience. Been spending summer vacation out here for decades. Super excited to see the reinvigorated creekside.... well we tried to order pizza but the kid said they were just to busy and wouldn't take anymore orders. So we tried to eat at the hub, we followed the signs and walked out and around the building even though we looked right at the entrance standing in the lobby. Then got berated by some waitress or hostess for blocking their access.... waiting, where they told us to for a table. Somebody needs adult pants to run the place and it would be an out of the park Homer but as it sits trash.

“From Smoked Meat Heaven to Tarped Tent Tragedy”

I don’t know who kidnapped the original Scotch Creek Hub, but someone needs to call Liam Neeson—because what’s replaced it is a Taken-level downgrade.

Once upon a time, this place was legendary. Smoked meats that made you cry tears of joy, brisket nachos stacked like edible Jenga, pulled pork so juicy it should’ve been illegal, and live bands that made every evening feel like a lakeside festival. The staff? Rockstars. The building? A rustic BBQ cathedral.

Fast forward to now: you walk in and it feels like you’re stepping onto the set of a rejected episode of COPS: 1987 Tent Edition.

We’re talking:
• Random folding chairs that look like they came from a garage sale fire.
• Cutlery that feels like it was borrowed from a condemned campground.
• A “floor” that might be wood? Might be particleboard? Might be someone’s dock project gone sideways.
• TVs hung like they’re scared of commitment.
• And the atmosphere? Like someone asked AI to design a “ghetto pub in witness protection.”

No live music, no smoked meat, no vibe. It’s stuffy, awkwardly quiet, and the servers looked like they were trained via charades.

It took 40 minutes for our drinks to arrive. I’m writing this while still waiting for food, and considering training for a triathlon with all the extra time I’ve got.

The menu? Bare bones. Like, you could fit the highlights on a Post-it note. They’ve apparently replaced brisket with… vibes. Except there are none.

Honestly, I gave it two stars only because I’m nostalgic for what this place used to be. But now? It’s like your favorite band reunited… with all new members… and they’re playing kazoo covers.

***Update, only took 54 minutes for food to arrive, chicken ceaser wrap was actually decent***

Such an amazing dinner and service. They were so accommodating to our group of 11 arriving late and feeding a hungry group. Toni our server was fabulous. Thanks Mark and Ang.

I'm not sure what happened to this place... The food used to be amazing and now it's honestly a waste of money. The food was Terrible now that they moved to this new location. They used to have delicious smoked meat options. Truly disappointed. Also if your food is gross enough that it's mentions to the waitress, comp the uneaten food next time. You should never charge a customer for terrible food, and it wasn't even eaten (poke tacos) - we have had tons of poke (we know it's raw) and this was not good and had 3 pieces of small tuna in each cup.

This is an honest food review, and hopefully this helps improve your business and quality, because your old location and food was fantastic!!!

Service was good. Had to ask for plates for shared nachos but brought them right away. Big downfall was smokers smoke wafting up to restaurant patio from table at end of fenced in patio.

Super brutal. The servers outside on a Sunday… one was blonde and one brunette, they maybe had to many tables?, but yea the service was not great. They had some kind of open mic, the speakers were crazy loud and it was very unpleasant. We asked to sit inside and they wouldn’t let us…. Cause they “dont want to clean the tables inside and they can’t keep an eye on our table inside”. Funny cause they weren’t really attentive to us outside either! Wouldn’t have made a difference. The food was not very good. And $19 for a handful of fries and 3 chicken strips?!?!. I have NEVER seen such an over charge for a kids meal …wow. Kids meal doesn’t include a drink or dessert. $19 for some fries and 3 chicken strips ( you read that right). That’s shameful. Food needs serious work for the price point it’s at. And the service is not good and not friendly or welcoming. And the LOUD open mic is unbearable. My son was in tears but they still wouldnt not let us sit inside. Smooth.
We chose to come here for our one dinner out in the area while we were there for a week and it was a big mistake. Don’t do what we did.
It’s a shame because the rest of the activities and ice cream parlour and cafe etc that are in that same building are amazing and the staff is great over there. But this little outside tent restaurant is giving a bad name to an otherwise good building/business.
