Best coffee! Hope you bring back espresso and fresh drip coffee!!!

No seating as it is also appears to be a plant shop. It only had drip coffee.

This is the place to go in Squamish for pour over coffee. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, brews an amazing cup, and carries an incredible selection of coffee beans and supplies. Don't look anywhere else, this is the place!

My wife went in to buy a bag of espresso beans from this place a couple of days ago, and I asked her to check the roast date on it which turned out to be July 21--well over a month old. I've bean roasting my own beans and pulling espresso from both Quickmill and Alex DB machines for decades. When she brought up the roast date he basically told her 'it doesn't matter', so she bought it anyway. I pulled shots from it this morning and it is indeed VERY STALE. I could post a video of the extraction, spriting and splattering all over the place, no cone and no crema, etc--stale. I don't know where this guy has learned his barista stuff, but either he is inexperienced or dishonest, not sure which. Sounds like lots of folks are happy enough with what goes on here, but for anyone looking for a third-wave coffee experience I would advise them to go elsewhere.

I saw the store in google map and thought it will be so cool to try the coffee they had
Unfortunately when I first walked in the one working had a very not welcoming look and when I asked him about what coffee they have he said in very rude way that they only have a filtered coffee.
0/10 experience don’t recommendation
They have a very cool collection of cups but the vibe it self is very bad

I've been coming to this shop for years. While some reviews say they miss when they did espresso drinks (understandable), the pour overs and cold brew here are really amazing. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and has helped my fiancée and me improve our home coffee, from our coffee machine to pour overs and even espresso. Their selection of beans, equipment, and mugs is also excellent and its been great to watch the shop grow since 2021. Keep up the good work!!

Came to 1914 last year on a trip, and was blown away by both the quality of coffee and knowledge found at this cafe! Excellent selection for pourovers, and the owner was very knowledgeable and chatty! I honestly couldn’t wait to come back.

Unfortunately this year, it was a completely different story. The cafe had scrapped their entire pourover menu, as well as their espresso options. The formerly eccentric and kind owner was rude and curt, and made it very clear that we were not welcome in the store. Once we got our drinks we were told to “get out of the store”, so we unfortunately weren’t able to take in the very cool collection of cups and coffee.

Incredibly disappointed in the change in service, I’ll unfortunately be telling people to skip this as a stop for coffee in the future. Is a shame considering how great my last experience was!

Perhaps this posting should be updated from cafe to roastery? While it sells mugs and coffee beans, there are no food options and no espresso or milk based drinks anymore. They only sell drip coffee now.

There appeared to be several options of drip, but it was awkward going here on the ideas and pictures of the espresso/matcha menu posted here from last year and finding only drip coffee. Mugs were pretty though.

Super weird experience and awkward guy working there. Confusing walking in with no menu and met with a sour attitude. Coffee cup was leaking too, the lids are not secure.

Met the owner during a day trip to squamish to climb. Honestly, I've never met someone so willing and open to share about coffee as him. He is incredibly knowledgable and passionate about his coffee and it shows! Had an excellent batch brew that easily beats most of the pour overs from other third wave cafes. It's frankly quite astonishing!

Mike helped me choose which espresso beans to get - learned a lot in the short time I was at the store. This is my go to place now for my coffee!
They also have beautiful mugs!
