Always an incredible time
Here with the best food imaginable!
I of course had the famous amazing ale and cheddar soup mmmmmm I crave this as soon as we know we have booked whistler and over the years it’s a must and part of the trip!
My husband had the poke bowl and absolutely loved it. The service was incredible!
We sat outside the temp
Was lovely, really enjoyed the views and the birds! And of course our drinks! I had a glass of wine and my husband was so happy and really enjoyed being able to have a draft non alcoholic beer as he’s driving the car…. He loved it
Stopped by for a beer. Loved the outdoor seating and the good variety of craft beer options.
Service was.not.good. couldnt make a.caesar drink.if their life.depended on it.cold.food. waited.10 min for gravy but.my kid liked the pizza
One of my top spots to dine in Squamish! The staff are fantastic, there’s plenty of space on the patio, and it’s just an all-around comfortable place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food is great! Highly recommend
WEDDING REVIEW - Aug, 2025
I want to give Kyley and her event team an HUGE thank you for helping us put on just the BEST wedding reception ever and for making it so easy!! Your flexibility was unmatched (from what I’ve heard of other venues) and lead to the most stress-free day ever. Kyley was so responsive all the way leading up the wedding, was super open to ideas and timeline changes and such, and was super present on the day. Not only was the service wonderful, but the location is absolutely beautiful!!! The views of the chief from the Firebread room were breathtaking.
Our guests absolutely loved the mushroom risotto!!!!! One of the best I’ve ever had.
For reference, we had 89 guests and I’d say that was a good amount for that room, not sure I’d add any more.
I would highly, highly recommend Howe Sound Brewing for your mid-sized wedding in Squamish (especially if you don’t want to be robbed by modern day wedding prices. Howe Sound was by far one of the most reasonably priced venue for our reception)
The craft beer selection is fantastic—lots of variety and always fresh. The food pairs perfectly with the brews, with hearty portions and plenty of comfort options. I had honey garlic wings and ribs with yam fries, they were perfectly cooked. Service is friendly and relaxed, making it a great place to hang out with friends or grab a casual meal after exploring the area. The mountain views from the patio are a bonus!
This is my favorite spot in Squamish - a hidden gem - off the beaten path!
The beer on the patio with the family was a Saturday well spent! My pup enjoyed the patio hospitality as well. The food especially the Caprese Chicken Sandwich hit the spot. And may I recommend their 'King Hoff' Heffeweisen beer - absolutely awesome!! Also they make killer yam fries - they are skinny, well done and crispy!!
Too bad they were sold out of the six packs. Wanted to buy a couple to take home! Maybe next time!!
The streetside parking is plentiful but on the weekends can be challenging. So be prepared to park down the street a block away on weekends.
Until next time!!
Had to cancel our reservation and they were so polite and professional about it. Thank you 🙏
The rooms are super cozy and the mountain views are great!
My wife took me here for my birthday, we have a lovely dinner! The view was spectacular, as was the service!
We hope to come here again soon!

We go to Howe Sound Brewing on every trip to Squamish and we are never disappointed. Service is top tier and the beer is great. plus now that their patio is dog friendly it makes our life extra easy.
The service at the pub is truly awful which is a shame because it is a very nice building and could be a great spot. We waited about 30 minutes and still hadn’t gotten service or waters. What a waste of time.
Unique place with welcoming atmosphere stunning views and good beers
Stayed 3 nights, coffee machine was not working and they changed it which is fine but when you pay 300$ per night and they mentioned it including breakfast and they provide you just bagel and croissants. I always stayed in different hotels and never had that bad breakfast, at least have some eggs and other regular stuff or dont take this high price.
only stopped in for a family meal. The brewery used to be a guaranteed stop for us anytime we went through Squamish but after yesterday I will be questioning it. now to be fair they were having issues with the beer kegs so I am not judging too hard on that.
the server was unaware of the issues until she went to put in the beer orders. feel she should have been made aware of that. we ordered our food and drink. the kids got milk which shouldn't be a thing that anyone can complain about but I sure will. we were brought 3 of the smallest cups I have ever seen. to add insult they were half full. so naturally we asked for more. surprise when the bill came we were double charged. even better the second round of milk the glasses came out almost full to the top.
the service was good. server was friendly but you could tell the heat was bothering her.
the food was good.
ribs had a little spice to them.
yam fries were good but a little on the soggy side
the howe sound salad was good
the cheese pizza for the kids was fantastic
the dirty fries were ok. the bacon is bagged bacon bits, and the aoili was lackin flavour
the cheddar ale soup has changed for the worst. used to be the best thing on the menu but now it is barely average.
now for the worst part. it was hotter in the restaurant than outside. there is no air flow, no fans, nothing to make you comfortable.
the washrooms are disgusting. wood that is moldy, toilets broken, no paper towel, and the floors are gross.
time to update the washrooms and look into a way to cook the restaurant down.
