I love retro style asian diners. This place is one of them and it's all the way out in Squamish. They open early enough for me to drive out and get some grub before the drive home. Now fair warning, if you don't understand the significance of places like this in Canadian historical dining culture, then maybe I suggest you ho elsewhere for your pretty little lattes and vegan sandwiches. This place serves old school western chinese food and breakfast and no frills burgers and fries. Places like this are getting scarce. As owners get older and the kids don't want to takeover the business it gets sold and gentrified. But as long as they're around, I'll visit them as much as I can as well as other similar style diners like this. For me the breakfast was decent, I'm not expecting too much. It was good. The lady there was nice and cooked us a wonderful breakfast. They bought this about 15 years ago (if I remembered right) Like it used to be back in the 60's to 80's. Call me old, or old fashioned, meh, it's just how I like it. How we like it.

Just had the BIG mountain burger (double burger) and fries. Burger patties cooked perfectly, nice and juicy. Veggies on the burger fresh and crisp. Fries fresh and perfect... Very good food.
Modest, no non-sense breakfast joint. Fast - though indifferent - service, serve-it-yourself coffee, and yes, the atmosphere is not the main focus. Don't expect James Beard level food, but in terms of a simple, filling and cost-effective, it's great. Leave your expectations at the door.

Order the chicken. Burger and mountain burger take out. The prices in person are more expensive than advertised online. portion were quite really small for the price point. My beef patty was burnt. Service was good. Maybe there breakfast is better as that’s what they’re known for.

They have hot turkey and roast beef sandwiches on the mu menu which is a rarity in BC.I hadn’t had a hot turkey sandwich since coming to BC over five years ago.This meal was a serious disappointment. The turkey was dried out cold bits and pieces, gravy served on the side. Again the small amount of turkey was dried out, cold and chewy.Fries were ok.I will not be back.

A real down to earth family run caff! Good solid filling food eggs bacon hash brown. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and interesting customers. Recommend and will go again.
