after a huge hike on the Sea to Sky Trail i was pleasantly surprised to find vegan options at the cafe — a really delicious tempeh blt with hasbrowns and a lavender matcha. was about $20 for everything which i think was totally worth it.

Aside from the large cost to get to the top the prices at the restaurant are a bit high. Worth it though as the chicken sandwhich and brisket sandwhich were absolutely delicious.

Hot chocolate is tasteless. And expensive.
Lovely atmosphere. We hiked up the Sea to Summit trail on 4/4/25, starting in the early AM and ending up at the Sky Pilot restaurant for lunch.
To call this a “restaurant” does it a gross disservice. It is a point in the sky. A lovely lookout. A reward at the end of a tough hike. And pretty good food.
We had the brisket and pulled port sandwiches with some coffee. The sandwiches were solid A’s after a long sweaty hike. The coffee was a B, happy to have but not the best roast.
The atmosphere - oh, the atmosphere - was really one of a kind. The deck was perfect. Just perfect. Could not have been happier to have been there and could have spent all day looking off into the valley.
If you plan to hike, be prepared for a seriously rigorous experience, and wear shoes with some grip. Basic running shoes are suboptimal toward the top if snowpack remains - too slippery, and you really can’t afford that on parts of the trail.
The gondola ride is brief and breathtaking. I’d go again for that alone.
A+ experience. Worth the ride. If visiting Vancouver, as am I, make the effort. Worth every moment spent.

I have never been price gouged for food so badly than here. $14 for a kids Mac and cheese?!? It is one small bowl with noodles scooped in and cold shredded cheese on top. I ordered the pork sandwich; what a mistake. There was so much Dijon mustard slathered on it was all I could taste for hours. It was supposed to have an apple slaw on it; what little there was was hard small cubes of tasteless something.
The frozen fries were good.
The Irish coffee was good.
None of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there.
Incredible waste of money.

Amazing view after reaching the hilltop by gondola. Had a couple of drinks on the restaurant deck while enjoying the scenic beauty.

We came here on Christmas Eve while camping at Porteau Cove. Although we go up the gondola often for hiking, we had never eaten here before except for snacks. There is a special menu for Christmas. I had the winter root vegetable stew and my partner had turkey chili. Both were excellent, and very large servings. Plus we got 20% off since we have annual passes, so a pretty good deal for the quality of the food. We washed it down with some beer flights from the bar, which has a good selection of beers from local breweries. A great experience!
