All of the food we got here was really good. My wife and I split 3 plates assuming the were tapas sized, But they could be eaten as a main. my only regret was not trying the dessert

Don’t come hungry, great tapas and vibes but this is not the place to get a filling meal.

Such a cozy little gem in Squamish! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the level of food is truly impressive — rare to find around Vancouver. Our waitress was amazing, very attentive, and explained each dish in detail. Tartars were absolutely incredible! Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to.

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to taste their fall menu. My favourite part was getting to hear from Chef Jay and his team about the dishes, the creative cocktails, the challenges and creativity that come from a unique kitchen setup.

First off, the food is incredibly delicious and wildly creative. Go try it and while you’re at it, ask about the dish and how it was conceived. You can’t not be impressed by what they produce to plate with the limitations they face. Wagyu Tartare might be the tops for me.

The cocktails were also perfectly paired and just like each dish, the clearly come from a creative and thoughtful place. So good. Winter Negroni might be my favourite.

The vibes this time of year with plenty of windows overlooking the moody mountains in the sound. Perfect.

What a team of dedicated, passionate folks.

Hands down, one of my favourite restaurants… not just in Squamish, but in general. The level of creativity when it comes to their food and cocktails is so refreshing and exciting!

I’ve eaten here multiple times but I recently hosted my wedding dinner at the Broken Seal and they did not disappoint! Matty, Taylor, Jay and the rest of the Broken Seal team, exceeded our expectations. Our guests could not stop talking about the amazing cocktails, the delicious food, and the incredible view!

Thank you guys so much for everything you did. If I could give you 100 stars, I would!

We’ll be back soon to try the new menu!

Amazing dinner! The menu's super focused so the culinary and beverage teams are able to make every detail perfect! The staff make you feel right at home and offered excellent beverage recommendations! I loved the decore: the wallpapers, lights, and seal pictures especially, and the location is right near the water! Excellent for groups or even an evening to yourself; the portions are not overwhelming so you'll have a satisfying meal without the feeling of overeating. We had the duck confit, salmon tartare, beef tartare, pork bao buns, and seasonal dessert: it was all spectacularly flavourful, the textures were great, and the pickled veggies on the bao buns especially were fantastic! 10/10, would definitely recommend!

You can really feel the passion and dedication this small team pours into their food & cocktails—it’s unlike anything else in Squamish. Such a special spot with amazing energy. We tried the Broken Seal while visiting Squamish on our honeymoon and it was the best food we had while we were there. Service was excellent, food was phenomenal and you get large plates for the price, honestly. Would go back in a heart beat!

Visited June 2025. What a great find after our visit to Shannon Falls. This place is great! Each drink and each dish is made with love. My favorite part was the presentation of each plate and how it was made with all the ingredients. Beautiful view of the water while having our meal. Such a peaceful little town.

Best restaurant in Squamish! Food is excellent and menu changes often with many elevated, creative, diverse options. Atmosphere is fun with funky decor.

And to top it all off - Fred is the best server there. I’ve never had bad service at the Broken Seal, but Fred always goes above and beyond. I had my birthday dinner here and she made everyone feel welcome, ensured everyone’s allergies and food restrictions were heard and respected and is the most fun and friendly person.

You are missing out if you haven’t eaten here!

This spot is great vibes all around. The folks are wonderfully engaging, ambiance and view lifts the mood, even the washroom wallpaper charms. The food? Absolute delight, great flavors, good portions, awesome pricing, and just the right amount of healthy. This place claims fave neighborhood resto status for me. Menu items change seasonally, keeps things fresh! But the tacos is a sacred constant. Try it to know why.
