Sleeping Giant fruit winery

I’ve never had fruit wines before and honestly it wasn’t for me. Some of the wines were ok but I wouldn’t buy. The one star is not for not liking the wine isn’t was from the awful customer service we got. The lady who was doing the taste testing was fine and pleasant at first. Everything changed when I tasted a wine that was very strong ( my reaction was surprising and I coughed to how strong the wine was) maybe it was to sour I don’t know but after I told her I wasn’t a fan she basically yelled I’ve never had that experience before and I’ve been doing this a long time. After that she became rude and didn’t really want to answer questions. The one wine I thought was ok I was thinking of getting but then when I said I didn’t like the most popular wine again she made a comment like your like the only person who doesn’t like this again she said it in a tone that was not nice. I said I wasn’t going to buy anything and then again gave attitude. I’ve never had that experience at a winery and she was very unprofessional. Not everyone has to like the wine. Will not be going back and will be telling people if they ask about the wine how we where treated.

We were on a hunt for family-friendly wineries yesterday and Sleeping Gaint is a top favorite for everyone. Of course, the wines were delicious. But the best part is, my kids really enjoyed the syrup tasting and videos on how they made jam. We got there at 10am so we didn't try their ice cream, but we will next time when return with family and friends. Thank you!

Amazing fruit wines

Amazing selection of fruit wines using zero grapes. The tasting is affordable and a great deal when you end up purchasing. The lady who hosted our tasting was super knowledgable. There was a bit of a wait. She had a great sense of urgency managing that and still remained personable through out the tasting

We had a wonderful experience ! The wines were fantastic — we absolutely loved the selection, each with its own unique character. To our delight, the also offers ice cream, which was a lovely surprise — both delicious and refreshing.

A special mention goes to the staff, who were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. They made us feel truly welcome throughout our visit. We especially appreciated the warmth and hospitality of the team — it really made the experience memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great wine, a sweet treat, and exceptional service in a stunning setting.

Great ice cream spot, kids will love it !

Very fruity selection of wines from raspberry to peach to many more. Also, they have sparkling versions of their fruit wines. Have a tasting first, but make sure you rinse your palate as you taste different wines to get the full flavor.

great selection....ice cream and fruit wine

This winery is fantastic. A lovely alternative to grape wines. The lady who did our tasting was so friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was great, tasting fee very reasonable and the wine was delicious. Definitely will be back!

Great for all ages. The artist shop prices are very reasonable. Wine and syrup tasting are available, and the wine tasting is a vibe. The locally made ice cream is a must-try. There is a nice patio outside to sit and enjoy your ice cream while children play on the tractor.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The space and washrooms are very clean.

We visited here as part of our Grape Experience Wine Tour and this place was SWEET! Their unique shop has literally everything from soup to nuts, pottery, gift ideas and a vast array of fruit jams, syrups and delicious delights. The wines are certainly interesting, there’s a free fruit syrup tasting room and my favourite…an ice cream counter. They’re very generous with their scoops, but good luck choosing from their amazing flavours. Definitely a great stop for the whole family as there’s something there for everyone, and plenty of picnic tables outside to enjoy the view.

This winery stole my heart out of a the ones I went too! The place feels cozy, the ice cream is so good, but the wines are special and the service we got from Darlene was exceptional. She guided us through some recommendations based on our preferences and top sellers, but her personality is a lively warm embrace that welcomes you to the winery to create a unique tasting. I have never felt so relaxed and welcomed into winery until then. My only regret is I didn't buy enough wine, but I will definitely be back before my last bottle of strawberry rhubarb is empty!Thank you again Darlene and everyone at the Sleeping Giant
