I hate leaving reviews like this, but the borscht was so disappointing. I loved my interactions with -most- of the staff, but the borscht was sadly very disappointing, as a native to Ukraine.

5 stars, you will not be disappointed!
Absolutely delicious borscht, cabbage rolls, and mushroom pirogies! Excellent coffee, friendly staff, and lovely atmosphere inside and out. Looking forward to the next visit but wish it was earlier in the year so I could sit outside.

My kids and I love to treat ourselves here and it's our favorite place to get baked goods! The Pavlova and the Blueberry cream puff (cant think of the actual name at the moment) are our favorites...absolutely delicious and perfectly done every single time. A friendly, inviting atmosphere. It's a must try!

This place is a total gem! Lovely staff, the owner is fantastic, friendly joking with the regulars. The food is exceptional, everything is from scratch, the croissants are the real thing! Espresso was great, the desserts we took to go were truly a delight! The cheesecake absolutely creamy, smooth, delicious and the fresh fruit cherry topping fantastic! Do not miss getting the most lovely meal from a superb family run business!

I was pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality, wonderful service, and delicious food at this place. What impressed me the most was seeing people patiently waiting in line outside — and that’s always my first sign that a spot is worth visiting. If there’s a line, it usually means the food is truly good and people come back because they love it.
That was exactly the case here. We waited just about 10 minutes and then enjoyed our drinks and desserts to the fullest — totally worth it! The atmosphere, the taste, and the service left a lasting impression.
I definitely recommend this place. And for anyone traveling through, make sure to stop by — our local businesses deserve the support, and you’ll leave happy and satisfied.

Super sweets and coffee. Next time we'll come for perogi! You will also enjoy a quiet and beautiful patio. See you next time.
Great spot for a treat or a nice bowl of borscht!

We wanted to have lunch after wandering through the Summerland Botanical Gardens and shopping at Summerland Sweets. I searched on Google Maps and found this wonderful little cafe. The photos alone sold me! This isn’t a very big place but there is seating inside as well as several tables outside on a shaded patio. Very welcome on a 35C day. Service was very quick and efficient and the food - absolutely delicious. We both had the ham/salami croissant sandwich. Lots of meat, lots of veggies and cheese. Very messy! I was hesitant about ordering a croissant instead of a panini sandwich. But the croissant was very fresh, crispy and flaky. We shared a piece of the honey cake for dessert. So good! There’s plenty of free parking at a lot across the street. The patio is very private, being surrounded by trees. We’re going to Peachland tomorrow and had planned on having lunch there. I think we need to come back to Sunflower Ukrainian cafe for cabbage rolls and pierogies instead!
Cute little cafe in Summerland. Ukrainian pastries and menu. Had the eggs and ham breakfast, great coffee. Would recommend if you're in the area or passing by.

Ordered a burger croissant, cheese panini and honey cake. The portion is very small, especially the panini. The honey cake tastes soggy and there is not enough cake filling. Very disappointing overall.
