Great cafe, friendly staff and good food/ drinks. Shafts hit the spot, Katie is nice on certain days

Kinda pricey but some with the location. Was really crowded when we went and the server didn't seem interested in serving us. It's alright for a meal when there's not many options nearby.

We had a reservation at Capones but they closed without telling us so we were left scrambling to find a place for our group. 5 Forty staff were excellent and let us take some space at the bar and one smaller table until they moved us all together. 11/10 for the staff who saw we just needed somewhere to eat in a very busy village. Great food and hospitality here.

The perfect spot to enjoy a well earned bite to eat and some rocket fuel in the form of a shaft to finish off a day on the slopes. Whenever I'm in the hustle and bustle of busy downtown Sun Peaks I come here and experience joy

Over priced and ordinary quality food.Had lunch there with family recently,ordered a burrito for $17-18, it was a burrito only no fries, salsa etc and pretty bland. I think eating establishments like this forget that when you add tax and a tip it’s closer to a $20-23 burrito and value for money just isn’t there. My 6yr old ordered tater tots for $12 and needed a snack on the way home as it was barely the size of a side of fries. Selling beer as a pint in a 450ml glass is a rip off too. I wouldn’t recommend it or go back.

BE AWARE OF TAX ON YOUR BILLS
I was very disappointed with my recent visit. The restaurant is overcharging Provincial Sales Tax (PST) on food items that are clearly exempt under BC laws. When I brought this up to the server, she was arrogant and dismissive, refusing to address the issue. The issue was addressed right after I told her I will bring this issue to B.C. TAX authorities and CRA.

This is not only frustrating as a customer but also a violation of BC tax regulations. Restaurants should be well aware of which items are taxable and which are not. It felt like either a lack of care or a deliberate attempt to overcharge customers.

Loud and rude. 0 respect for the people trying to get some rest in the condos above. Constant noise in the outdoor area even though it is supposed to be closed at 10pm!

Unfortunately this was where we chose to have breakfast today. Service was mediocre, we watched our food sit under the hot lamp for way too long & the food should never have been served. Very disappointing to pay 100$ for breakfast that was too gross to even finish.

After going through the menus of all the restaurants in this area, we decided to go with this restaurant, expecting flavourful Mexican food. No one was answering the phone so we went in person to order take out. The place was empty so we didn’t expect our server to mess up our simple order. When we took the food back to our hotel, we found out that we had been given some soggy jumbled mess of what we had ordered. Not only was our order incorrect -it was awful! It so tasteless and unpleasant that we ended up throwing it out. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend dining here.

We bought two Baja Bowls, which were supposed to have bacon in them, but neither bowl had bacon! However, it did have plenty of lettuce, which was not supposed to be there at all! Very disappointed with the mediocre and overpriced food. Also, no one answers the phone here. Would not recommend.
