They took the reservation, took a credit card and phone number to hold it and then when we got there it was closed due to a water leak. No phone call or text to us prior to the reservation. We spent an hour looking for a place to take our group and ended up eating at deli. We understood that the flood was out of their control but the fact that they didn’t notify us before we went to the restaurant was very disappointing. Luckily 5 Forty took us in and treated us well. In a very busy village it can be hard to find somewhere to eat when you have no lead time on booking a new spot.
Our server Talia was wonderful. Great service & super nice

What a scam! I absolutely do NOT recommend eating here. Based on the photos and prices, we expected a luxurious Italian fine dining experience with high-quality food. However, what we received was anything but—low quality, no creativity, and tiny portions.
After a full day of skiing, we ordered the three-course dinner for the entire table ($40 CAD per person). For this price, you'd expect the chef to put some effort into the meal, right? Well, we were completely disappointed. The starter was a basic, tiny salad (arugula, tomato, and mozzarella) meant for one person—but we had to share it among four. The main course? The simplest spaghetti I’ve ever seen—no meat, fish, or vegetables—again, a portion for one, shared among four.
Hoping for a great entrée, we were let down even further. We received a single plate of chicken, mashed potatoes, and some sad-looking broccoli to split between us. We genuinely felt robbed. When we politely addressed the issue, the manager offered more pasta—missing the point that we expected both quality and quantity. Shockingly, he returned with the exact same cheap spaghetti again!
This was a truly disappointing experience, and we will never return. What a scam!

We had the starter mussels 5/5, their parpadella bolognaise 3/5 (the sauce was Extremely overpowering after the second bite, and very salty - not expected in a bolognaise), and their special of the day was beef rib “ragu” 3/5. The beef rib was very well done, but it was not a ragu, it was beef rib and peas on top of pasta with No sauce at all, hence it not being a ragu, rather felt like the dry pasta was just an afterthought. Their tiramisu was very good 4.5/5.
We also waited around 20 mins after finishing desert for the bill, I eventually had to go up and pay at the front desk, overall cost $150.00 without drinks.

The hostess(I forgot her name) was such an amazing welcome and was absolutely amazing in accommodating our party even though we didn't make reservations.
Celine was out waitress and she was so well versed in the menu and was such a joy to have as our server for the night. Super patient and was always ready when we needed something.
Talia I want to give a special shout-out for her knowledge and patience to answer all my questions on everything wine. The perfect expert and hit every wine I tried right on the head with what to expect.
Thank you to all you wonderful ladies for making our experience one of the best dining experiences we've had!

Its the service that makes Capones the “ mustgo” spot at Sunpeaks. Talia was fantastic. Friendly, efficient and such a pleasure to be waited on by her. And this comes from one of the owners of a well known restaurant in Florida. Talia rates six stars. The food was also top notch. Excellent flavors and portions.

Over the past four years of visiting Sun Peaks, Capone's has become our "go to" for regular dining, and for special events! The food is always excellent, the atmosphere is terrific, but it's the service that puts Capone's at the top of the list!. It has been our good fortune to have Celine as our server for our last four visits, and she and her colleagues are the reason this place will continue to be our number one choice for dining out in Sun Peaks. From service with a smile, to recommendations and table-side conversation, Celine exemplifies what excellent service should look like! Thanks to everyone at Capone's for making our most-recent special event dinner so memorable!

We're back at Sun Peaks and our first dinner was to go back to Capone's. I had the butternut squash ravioli with vodka sauce and sausages. My husband had the prawns and linguine. Both were delicious. We sat at the bar, which was a great social event, meeting people from Toronto and New Zealand.
We are staying in the village, so it was just a short walk in the snow😄
