Sun peaks Christmas dinner.
Booked in there for Christmas dinner, total cost for 3 courses for two people + a drink each was about cad$200. Food was so good that we booked in for 2 nights later (cad$100 for mains+ drinks+ one dessert).
Staff were friendly

This restaurant was the only one which was available everything else was fully booked.

We saw the reviews down there they made us pretty dicey but still we went.

Bruschetta and black garlic pasta , it was awesome. Loved it. I highly recommend these two.

Risotto was disappointing. Waited an hour for this.

The single star is for the food: Offensively bad risotto. Like oatmeal that sat out. No seasoning on the add on swordfish fish. Rubbery shrimp.

My wifes short rib was pretty decent. Son said the ravioli was ok.

The wait staff seemed standard level of friendly.

Would not come back again. Here are the reasons:
1) The food took over 1 hour to come without any server telling us to have any heads up. We didn’t get to eat til 9pm and everyone was starving. Also not gonna forget to mention even a beer take 20 min to come.
2) Server is friendly but definitely not trained properly to be on the floor. The girl who served us had 0 clue about PST on liquor. Also, no one came to ask us about any allergies. During dinner I was having some minor rash on my arms but luckily it didn’t go too severe.
3) Food is just so so, not bad. Our server didn’t get my appetizer right and nobody came to apologize or anything. And please see my photos 1 and 2. It’s the same dish but obviously not the same amount of sauce.

Restaurant was not busy, but service and dishes served very slow. Server came to fill our water only when we asked. During the time it takes to serve our meal (over 40 minutes) the server did not come check on us once. Some food was not hot enough, everything was slow.

We had a larger group and made a reservation in advance at 7:30. Our food arrived at 9:00. Not only was the wait unacceptable, but the plates and food were cold when they arrived. To make matters worse, two of us had our orders missed. I also would NOT recommend the risotto. It was dry, cold, hard and flavorless. Regrettably, it didn't end there, and they got our bills wrong and charged additional tax.

Amazing broccolini & saffron aioli and loved the cacio e Pepe! Should definitely be available on the main menu as the pasta options are otherwise not super vegetarian friendly. Great service, especially from the new girl who was amazing on her very first day! Cozy, cute spot too with quality food. Highly recommend!

The food is mediocre and overpriced, and we waited more than an hour for it. When we complained about it, they told us that other patrons had pre-ordered, but they didn't let us know from the beginning that they had other orders before ours, and that it might take a while to get ours out. They might be the most expensive around, but not the best.

The bruschetta was pretty good. Chicken parm was also tasty, but the noodles and sauce taste like the normal ones you would buy at the grocery store. Service was good and fast.

We came up from Kamloops with recommendations to come here for dinner and it did not disappoint! Our server Tahlia was so attentive and I never had an empty glass. We enjoyed the appies, meatballs, capers salad, bruschetta and our mains! The pistachio chicken rigatoni is to die for and the chicken parm was delicious.

Will definitely be back each visit to Sun Peaks.
