The hamachi and wagyu were so delicious they melted in our mouths. We also had the donburi, tantanmen, and udon – everything was so amazing that we forgot to take pictures! My child even said it was the best donburi they've ever had in their life. It was even better that we could enjoy our meal in a more relaxed atmosphere now that the busy winter season has ended.

Got some takeout here, not too bad, okay price and good flavour.

Our favorite restaurant in Sun Peaks. You definitely need a reservation as it's tiny and always full. Fresh sushi, high quality ingredients...even the soy sauce is extra delicious. We stop here every time we are in Sun Peaks.

The gyoza was so good we had to order seconds! My husband and I both loved our rolls as well. The crazy boy is delicious. We will be back to try more

Amazing food, best place to eat In Sun Peaks. Down to earth and welcoming. Turned up late after our drive from Whistler and they allowed us to dine even though they were clearly winding down. Main guy and lady who served us (and helped us pick what to eat) were great. We ordered the broccoli veg starter ? recommend, followed by the Teriyaki Donburi which were really good. I love my Asian food so I can say it was right up there. Good selection of booze and reasonable priced for a high ticket area. Thank you

Fantastic experience! The atmosphere was cozy and authentic, with beautifully presented dishes. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and the flavours in each dish were well-balanced. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. Perfect spot for a memorable Japanese dining experience. I will only eat here if I visit Sun Peaks again
Highly recommend!

We just dined our second time here and it never disappoints! Some of the best sushi I've had, and the cocktails and whiskey are incredible (we had a few) it is by far our favourite place, we drove almost two hours just because we love to eat here, it was well worth it. Will be back again!

My wife and I visited Oya for a mid-week dinner and were not disappointed. While the restaurant was not spacious, we were able to get a table for two without reservations. We enjoyed a spring roll appetizer, followed by some speciality rolls: Mango Tango, Sun Peaks, and Mt. Fuji, which were all very fresh and flavourful. The bottle wine we chose to accompany our meal was overpriced but complemented our selections well.

We ordered the same order that we usually get from our favorite sushi restaurant in Kamloops. Not only did the order total come out to almost twice what we pay in town (!!!), the rolls were tiny/skinny. The chicken karage was good, but there was little discernable difference in taste between the different rolls we ordered, and all were oddly greasy - which was strange for sushi. The meal left us with indigestion.

The Chicken Teryaki Roll was delicious. High-quality white meat chicken. A little overpriced at $3 per roll. Cucumber Roll was also good. Seating in the restaurant can be a bit cramped.
