Every time we’re at SunPeaks we have to make a stop here. The staff is fun and nice. Luke behind the bar is so friendly and so is the manager Gerry is also amazing. The food is out of this world. The tequila prawns are so fabulous. The sauce they’re cooked in is to die for. The seafood pasta was also to die for. My partner had the schnitzel and it was so delicious as well. Everything tastes amazing. I highly recommend you stop here for at least one meal during your stay. If you’re looking for a bar to sit at the bar at Powder hound is wonderful and so fun while also being family friendly for dinner hours.

I had a great dinner at Powder Hounds, which seems to be one of the best and more affordable dinners at Sun Peaks. The staff were great, and very accommodating. I had the baseball cut steak for dinner, and lava cake for dessert. I wasn’t expecting the awesomely sized portion for the lava cake.The only complaint I would have is that the steak is on the small side at 8oz. However, this seems to be the norm at Sun Peaks for some reason. I would gladly pay more for a 10oz or 12oz. Overall, I wouldn’t deduct a star for that reason. My meal was great, and I hope to visit again on a future trip to give the schnitzel a try!

Had great dinner here last year and returned with a hope for repeat. Mussels and Thai soup were excellent but unfortunately hunter and rebos (delicious sauce) schnitzel were overcooked and tough. Portions were big and service was exceptional. Be sure to make a reservation. As it is a rather small place, it is quite noisy when full, hence 4* atmosphere.

Powder Hounds is always amazing. They have a system going. They sit everyone almost at the same time and they deliver. Food and drinks are on time.The food they serve is just so well made. Well crafted and well prepared. The Hunter schnitzel I had was really good. House made mushroom sauce with it. My family had other types of schnitzel and they all raved about it.Corkage fee is $15 contrary to other not so great restaurants charging $50!.

It was my first time visiting sun peaks and the locals suggested. I check out this place. In my opinion, it was the best restaurant in the village. The service was fantastic and the food was great. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. And I want to give a special. Thanks to Jerry for making my stay an exceptional one.

Delightful service and atmosphere. We were disappointed however with mussels and seafood linguine. Both came with heavy thick pernod sauce, which we did not expect - in our opinion the paste was swimming in a cloying overly salted sauce. Couldn’t taste the seafood. Based on past experience at other restaurants, these menu items need revision.

If I could give more stars for Nikki, I would. She has been our server for all the previous times we have come here and has consistently treated us so well. She’s attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and has a positive vibe. But last night, we did not have her as our server and someone else waited on us. Sadly, the service was not great. She only checked in on us shortly after we were served and then never again. We were the first customers for the night so it wasn’t busy yet. And she didn’t even ask how our meal was even though you could see most of mine was left on my plate. This leads me to the next thing - the food has been hit or miss, very inconsistent. I had the exact same dish last night as I did when I was there in the summer. In the summer, it was incredible, last night it was terrible. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time we have experienced inconsistencies with the dishes. We have lost trust. Regardless, I rated 4 stars because we did like the atmosphere, when the food was good it was fantastic, and we think Nikki is pretty awesome as she made our visits enjoyable and entertaining.
