The food and drinks are great. They allow dogs on the patio which is nice. But the company needs work; They charge extra for the sides. They wouldn’t add mayo to a sandwich order because it was “premade”. Expect your bill for breakfast to be $50 for two people.
Cozy and family friendly. Free Coffee refill
It's where the locals often go, if that is any indication.
Tucked away in the heart of Sun Peaks, this café is everything you dream of after a morning on the slopes. The moment you walk in, you're wrapped in the kind of cozy, mountain-town charm that instantly makes you feel at home.
The coffee? Easily some of the best I’ve had—smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. Their breakfast sandwiches are next-level too: hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you need to fuel up for a day.
But what really sets this place apart is the owner’s hospitality. Not only did he remember my name after just one visit, but he actually called me by name as I was leaving and said have a great day! It’s a small thing, but it made the whole experience feel personal and genuinely welcoming.
This place isn’t just a café—it’s a warm hug in the middle of the mountains. Don’t miss it.
Our favorite restaurant in Sun Peaks. Excellent gf and vegan options. Super service and personable owners who go out of their way to be helpful. Highly recommend.
My goto coffee shop whenever I'm here, I love the atmosphere and the enthusiasm of the staff.
See you next time.
Great food & coffee, easy to get to, & service is quick so you can get back out on the snow
Great place! Best coffee of the three shops in the village. One of the baristas was so delightfully talkative with every customer — telling stories of the town or trips he’s taken and more. A welcome good morning vibe. It’s crowded but the tables outside are lovely.
Excellent location, good food, good service and open before the lifts spin! This place was very busy every morning, but they manage the volume well. Food comes out quick. Breakfast sandwiches were excellent, along with the baked oatmeal bars! The patio is a nice space, mostly covered with patio heaters, makes for a nice dog friendly spot from breakfast to apres.
Good atmosphere. Latte's were great but decaf average.

Best place to eat in the resort, great for quick breakfast/lunch, their sandwiches are a state of art ;)
Friendly staff and great vibes.
Nice little breakfast, lunch cafe. Similar style / products as the one next to it. Fresh pastries and sandwiches. would recommend this one too
Don't get me wrong, I really like skiing at Sun Peaks but in all seriousness I look forward to it for our (multiple) visits to Vertical Cafe! The owner's passion for high quality, local food shines through in every mouthful. It's a foodies delight. You can't go wrong with their menu.
The ham and cheese toastie (and I'm not usually a meat eater), oh my, I think I was talking about it for 2 days. Oh and never turn down a side of potatoes, they are the golden bite of deliciousness you didn't realize you needed. The breaky burrito 👌🏼 oh and the cinnamon buns... I could go on! Thanks guys, keep up the great work and your passion!!
If the app let me give 5 stars I would. Our daughter loves an oat hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows (all vegan), we always get an amazing coffee and the vegan options are incredible.
Very rude older guy making espresso and coffee. Asked how long to cook a sandwich on their menu, the big old guy said I could go elsewhere if I don’t want to wait. I’m guessing the old guy owns or manages the shop. Definite poor service attitude! Everyone else was responsive and respectful. Too bad the old guy ruined the experience and will take our business elsewhere. Thanks old guy!
