Had an absolutely awesome experience here. My buddy and I were in town snowboarding for a few days and this was our big celebratory dinner. Staff was lovely and the food was amazing. Cannot wait to come back next time we are in Terrace. If you are in town for a limited amount of time, Sonbadas should be at the top of the list!
I even left my jacket there and the GM (Gurjeet) shipped it back to me! Thank you again and see ya soon!

Restaurant decor is a walk back in time to the 80’s which definitely contributes to the vibe.If you are in my age group will give an added appreciation to the experience.Also seems quite well maintained. Parking is very good, ample spaces.The service was like nothing i have experienced even 30 years ago. Very good service. Very accommodating and attentive to the customer.Our food which ranged from pasta dishes to steak and souvlaki was absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned. I cant give opinion about pricing as i didn't pay attention, and was treated by my lovely daughter and her husband. We were there celebrating my grandsons birthday and Sombada’s brought out a piece of complimentary birthday cake , candle and all, the staff customers and family all took part in singing Happy Birthday! I definitely recommend Sombadas’… Thank you to ALL staff on duty Friday night Nov 14 ,2025

We visited Sonbadas Restaurant last night and were blown away from start to finish. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was beyond excellent — every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection.
What truly made the evening special was the personal touch. The owner came to our table to chat, and it was clear how much pride and care goes into every part of this restaurant. It felt warm, authentic, and family-oriented — exactly the kind of dining experience that leaves you smiling long after you leave.
Our whole family had such a wonderful time, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend Sonbadas to anyone looking for incredible food and heartfelt hospitality.

We had such a wonderful dining experience! Every dish was enjoyed by our whole party, but the true standout was the Ekmek—it was absolutely delicious, and I could have easily had a second serving. Our server was warm, attentive, and really enhanced the overall experience with their kindness. The atmosphere, while a bit dated, felt cozy and welcoming, with music at just the right volume to set the mood without being overpowering. A truly lovely meal all around!

She is personable, excellent, knowledgeable about the industry and serves both Western and Greek favorites with a flair. We look forward to our return.

Great food! Wonderfully friendly staff in this local family owned restaurant. We are visiting family who wanted to share their favorite restaurant. We came here several times during our visit. 1. Sunday brunch: great value and variety. 2. Came for desserts one night. The baclava with some of the best I've ever had. We shared different choices. And, the ekmet was a new experience. It was light and I actually enjoyed it better than the cheesecake... by a little. All were great. 3. Dinner. Everything looked great. I got the steak Oscar and it was very tasty. Portions are very good. The quality of the steak was great. The lamb was ordered on the table and I got a bite of it. I think that's what I'll do next time...
I can see why my children love coming here so often. And it will be definitely part of our next visit.

Food quality: they really care about making high quality food, and it shows. It's delicious! On the very rare occasion they've messed up an order, they've fixed things without any trouble. My favorites would be the steak, burger, Caesar salad, and their fries. Oh and the saganaki and tenderloin tips for appetizers. And the cheesecake, ekmet, and the baklava desserts! ... okay, lots of things, it's really good!
Service: They're so nice! They are personable and take it seriously. All the servers we've had have ranged from solid to fantastic.
Price: It's weird that people complain about their prices, when they haven't raised their prices in like 5 years. Steak and seasonal stuff like crab legs can get expensive, though still reasonable, but normal stuff is surprisingly inexpensive, especially on their brunch menu. Their brunch prices are less than Boston Pizza! And dinner is about on par.
