Couldn't miss the Colander during my trip back home to the Lower Mainland but the main restaurant wasn't open until 4pm so I tried the express location in the mall and was thoroughly impressed - tastes just like the original!

I dont know what sauce they're using now, but that sure in hell isnt Calander Spaghetti sauce. Super disappointed, you guys used to be better.

What do they even put in the sauce to make it this good?

Colander Express AKA Mallander. Same spaghetti and meatballs as Colander, except it's in a food court in the mall. Food is always excellent; if you want Colander after your trip to No Frills and Dollarama, this is the place. Colander Restaurant also does very brisk and efficient takeout, so options abound.

Food was good! Big portion size. The lady working there seemed miserable though. Maybe that one could try and smile more, even when people "aren't" looking :)

Stopped, for the first time, meatball sub and chicken caesar was ordered. Food was awesome. We needed a place to go when we're caught out...and we found it. Well done!

Have always enjoyed the Colander when passing though Trail but it was closed today so tried the ‘Express’ in the mall. The pasta was good but I got the dinner size for $6 more than the lunch and it was the same portion size and no extra meatballs so I complained and was told ‘there’s nothing we can do..’ sad and that paired with styrofoam (get with the times?) and a plastic fork that is so cheap it’s unusable means clearly they don’t care about repeat business anymore. So sad.

Ordered a meatball sub & asked that it be cut in half. While the counter-worker was pleasant the cook audibly sighed and gave a stellar eye-roll. Perhaps they were having a terrible day and my request pushed them too far, or perhaps they shouldn't work in customer service.
