I usually go there to get food to go. There's something set of changed over the years. You can't get a steak there anymore. They changed the buns because the bakery where they used to get them is shut down. Other than that Colander is still a good place to go.

Everyone in the area and visiting should experience the Colander at-least once. Local staple dining experience, just as good to take out. Fantastic spaghetti. The special is overrated, just get meatballs.

A true classic. I stopped in here for the first time in ages this past summer and will gladly visit again. The food quality is good and the quantities are insane. We had to wait a while to be seated, but I don't blame the staff because it seemed like they were shorthanded. Also, there's a seating area where you can drink beer and wine while you wait to be seated. The space is large and offers a lot of seating, but is basically windowless. I can't wait to come back and totally pig out again.

The pasta was delicious, first time I wanted to talk to the chef and say, this was the best thing I've ever ate

Definately where the locals go. HUGE place with super friendly service and gigantic portions. Very tasty, great traditional Italian food. Ate, and ate and still had another whole meal I took home. Noisy and fun- there were hockey teams in enjoing dinner together. Very reasonable prices, particularly considering how large the plates were.

For over 50 years The Colander has been serving up the homestyle taste of Italy brought by the original immigrant workers and family's of this area. The LeRose family has been sharing their kitchen table with locals and visitors alike without ever selling out or giving into food trends over the years. There's no need to ever change when what's on offer is perfect. If you need help to appreciate how good it is the only way to do so is to visit the Italian countryside and be invited to an Italian family's Sunday meal. Molto buono. Grazie Mille!

I can't tell you about the food other than I didn't see anything that jumped out at me on the menu. Very plain stuff. We walked in, sat down, was served right away. So that was good! Was not a fan of the atmosphere so we left. It felt like we were in a church basement with tables and chairs. Not what I was looking for.

The special was amazing 👏 split between 2 and still had left overs.

We popped in last night before the show at the Bailey. Katie was our server, and she was super. Very accommodating to our varied requests, and she brought us exactly what we wanted. She was engaging and fun, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We each had a house salad, which was fresh and delicious. The house Italian dressing, and the side roll completed the meal. Thank you!!

This is NOT the same great, authentic Italian cuisine it used to be years ago. Really disappointed.
