The Colander Restaurant offers a delightful Italian experience! I tried the tortellini, recommended and served by Maddie with a big smile. The quality was outstanding, and the portions were generous—perfect for a hearty Italian meal. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic flavors and excellent service!

A must try if you haven't already! There's something about Colander spaghetti that has had me coming back for MANY years now. I've had a few instances with chicken being undercooked but that hasn't happened in 5+ years.

Mary and her staff provided an amazing meal for The Sisters of Colombo's 100th Anniversary Gala. Mary planned and helped us with the beautiful menu effortlessly. The Colander catering staff was outstanding.

What a massive disappointment! Salad was gross, lettuce was brown, only lettuce! Chicken was so dry it could choke a horse! Will never eat the food from there again!🤢🤮
This place has gone downhill with every visit. This time, the server didn’t even greet us, and just asked ‘what do you want to order?’. Half an hour later we got buns and salad. Bun was completely frozen. It was warm and dried out by the time the spaghetti came, which only came because we had to ask for it three times. At the end the server apologized and said he’s new. He was like a fish out of water. Seems like a management problem to me as he was clearly not trained properly. I’ve been to the Colander dozens of times over the years, so I know it can be crazy busy, but service was traditionally always great. I also understand that there is a problem with short staffing everywhere in the province, but it’s heartbreaking to see what has become of our beloved Colander. It’ll be a long while before I give it another chance, but I’m hoping things will turn around. I do want to mention that a few months ago Lincoln was our server and was amazing. Be more like Lincoln!

We're new to town and thought we would try the collander as weve heard a lot about it. Safe to say we won't be back. The server brought the wrong wine, we had to ask twice for water, the meals were mixed up and the gluten free spaghetti and meat balls is a small serving of penne and meat sauce for the same price. Never in my life have I been charged for a take away container either. Way too hyped up for LOW quality food and BAD service.

I'm not entirely sure why people rave about this place. I was told that there's new owners and if that's true, then I think the new owners aren't following the recipe or they're cutting corners and making shoet cuts to the food. The spaghetti sauce isn't anything special. The sauce tastes like canned tomato sauce. The chicken was dry and the bread was like a pastry bread that you buy in a Pillsbury dough can. My family and I were a bit disappointed with the food. The quality has definitely declined. I definitely wouldn't be back. The service wasn't anything spectacular either and I just couldn't understand them because they either spoke too fast or spoke softly in a loud restaurant. Very sad to see this happen to a local icon.

The spaghetti and meatballs is the BEST I’ve ever had in my life. I drive 2 hours just to go there to get it for me and siblings 😍
