Took my daughter for breakfast, the Schnitzel was delicious!! So was the German Omelette,yummy!

First time to Vanderhoof; Breakfast Meeting; Visiting from Edmonton; I had the Schnitzel Combo - delicious and tasty! Kudos to Sheree for the amazing service. Will be back to try the other stuff on their menu.

Since the new ownership with the new cooks the food is terrible, greasy flavorless watered down. The steak was supposed to be medium but was well done. Two black haired cooks. Our server was great and friendly though. Hope to see it improve won't be back likely for a long time.

We were just quickly looking for a restaurant where we could have breakfast. The atmosphere is rustic and authentic. The waitress was very attentive and super nice. As always in Canada, the breakfast was enough for 3 people, but really tasty.
The washrooms are very clean, which is not always a given.
We can fully recommend the North Country Inn.

What a find! Not only do they have a great selection of breakfasts, the food is absolutely wonderful. We had an omelette and the North Country Special. It’s great to have home-cooked meals, but to have home-cooked meals that are MUCH better than you make at home is a wonderful experience!

This place is on our must visit again list!!!

Great German cuisine options with a salad bar. Great service and retro decor that is rarely seen anymore. Schnitzel Schnitzel Schnitzel!

Today, Saturday, my family (3) arrived at noon having driven from Topley. We've been here before. There might have been 3 tables with patrons. Waitress/hostess tells us to sit anywhere. Several minutes later, a party of 8 arrived and was told where to sit -- in another section. We waited 10 minutes only to see the party of 8 given place settings and started to get service. NOBODY gave us a glance! We got up to leave from frustration and saw the bus boy. Asked him if this was acceptable service. He shook his head to indicate no. He had nothing to say. No sorry no nothing. Horrible experience as we were very much looking forward to having a nice brunch.

Food was overcooked, routine was put right on the plate and didn't use the right type of cheese. Waitress only took our orders, didn't come and ask if we were okay, or if the food was okay. My brother asked for a medium steak and got well done. Got thier double north country burger and it was bland, no seasoning on the beef, no condiments on the buns. Did not like the experience and will not be going back.
