Some say the west was won with the railroad, gunslingers, and true grit... I’d like to believe it was won with strong people, partnerships, good beer and amazing BBQ! This ramshackled saloon transports you to a time before highways, gadgets and vineyards where tough guys, bankers, cowboys and travellers of all kinds congregated. Channeling my inner Doc Holliday along with my stunning Belle we decided to take a respite from the days touring and venture into The Hatching Post. Clanking of glasses, riotous laughter, country music and alluring smell of BBQ-we knew this was the right place. Alberta-Born Chef Ryan Byrne (NAIT, Manteo Resort) delivers an impressive mélange of southern style BBQ menu with his farm to table approach. Brisket makes Texas proud, pulled pork does the Carolinas justice, Ribs make St Louis notice and chicken make any southern pleased! Paired with inventive and experimental pilot brews of Head Brewer Adam Potter makes The Hatching Post a desired place to belly-up to the bar or simply lounge on the patio. Another gorgeous themed location from the Award Winning Winemaker Jason Parkes, this is a “Must Do”! Well Done! After visiting TOP BBQ joints in the south we comfortably place it as a TOP in BC and Canada! 🏆😎🇨🇦🇺🇸 the line ups of foodies, ruffians and critics speak volumes! Thank you for the wonderful, warm and sweet service Brandy! You’re awesome! Thank uou Cameron for looking after so well. We’ll definitely be back! If you love this you’ll definitely enjoy the hatch, Black Swift Vineyards, Crown & Thieves, Truck '59 Ciderhouse of Jason Parkes Customs.
Haven’t eaten in yet, but I was recommended their Tallow. I love to cook with Tallow and there was a great price. 500ml for $11.00
Great Flavour!! Hope to eat in or take out soon.

Super cool place, great food, some great beers, would definitely come again! We had Celina for our waitress and she was fantastic! The best place we have eaten in West Kelowna, and it's not close.

Called not once, but twice on Monday, asking about trivia night and happy hour and was told both times just come on down. No reservation needed. Get there and yes, reservation was needed. Sorry I can't help you she says we don't have any spots. What a joke and they just don't care.

The design of the whole place is brilliant. Ordered a platter and some wings. It happened to be a wing night. Wings were okay. Corn bread and the brisket were delicious. Rib was on the drier side. Beer can be colder.

Great addition to the brewery scene in the Okanagan. Solid beer. Vegan options although it is a smokehouse. Good happy hour. Great service. Can combine with visits to many other places in the area.
Vegetarian options: Happy hour menu has smoked yams with tofu chorizo crumble—like they actually care about flavour whether you eat meat or not 🙌🏽

Rude server/hostess. She was going to sit me at a table facing a damn wall bcuz "they were busy" even though I said I could wait and because I was a single person. I ordered my mediocre food to go. The cornbread was so dry and stale. Mac and cheese usually is made with elbow noodles theirs isn't, its made with cellentani noodles. The "mac and cheese" tasted like they took it out of a microwave and the beans were bland. If I could give it 0 stars I would have.
