There for a special event. Food was amazing
Inventive and tasty cocktails, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Enjoyed the happy hour dishes immensely. Loved the variety of seafood available. Tetyana provided exceptional service

Delicious fresh food with a gorgeous seaside view! Had the calamari, oysters with sake, burger, and sushi pizza off the happy hour menu, and the Just Peachy off the non-alcoholic drinks section of the menu. Everything was really great quality and the service from Jason was superb!

Visited Ancora in West Van in June 2026 for lunch. Not very busy on a weekday but nice that it's just of the waterfront.
We had thr Just Peachy ($12) and Sparkling Red ($14) non-alcoholic beverages which were refreshing. Then we moved onto the Ancora Glacier ($75 for 2 people) which comes with fresh oyster, ceviche mixto, poached prawns, tuna tartare, sashimi selection, crab causa, and mussels a la chalaca. We also added a side of Brussels Sprouts ($11) since we needed some veggies. The platter is very protein rich so it does get filling.
Nice place to stop and grab some eats before strolling on the beach.

They are very good about food allergies! Anyone with an allergy to nuts, gluten, or chickpeas can rest easy. They have gluten free bread and their servers are very attentive.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish.
The location is great, with a beautiful interior and a lovely view from the window. The atmosphere felt special and well thought out.
The staff were outstanding - both the team and the manager were attentive and clearly cared about maintaining a high standard of service. Everything was well organized, and we felt genuinely welcomed.
The prices are reasonable for the quality. We ordered a sharing plate with a variety of dishes - everything was delicious, well-balanced, and the portions were generous.
What impressed us the most was the attention to detail - the staff were aware of our anniversary, congratulated us, and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert. That level of care made the evening even more memorable.
The service and overall attitude of the staff truly deserve special recognition. We are very happy we chose this place and would definitely recommend it.

We had a very tasty and satisfying meal here. The kids absolutely devoured everything! We came with four children, including one infant, and had an amazing time. The service was excellent, and the staff were very attentive and caring. We truly enjoyed everything and would definitely come back!
