Tenton Ramen N Tonkatsu

The place is nice and pleasant, service was good, food is also good. Ordered the Ramen( chicken karage, original ramen soup) and Katsu combo. It was a good combination, soup base is tasty not salty. Tonkatsu was crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside.
Good value for the price. Will come back for sure.

This place serves a variety of family friendly foods and is conveniently located within walking distance from the nearby park. With the ramens we could choose either chasu or chicken karage topping and also choose between thick or thin noodles. The chicken was freshly fried with minimal batter. It could have been better seasoned/marinated and the broth could have been more flavourful, if I were to compare with similar ramen restaurants. The katsu curry was large came with a generous helping of sauce on the side of rice. The batter was nice and fluffy. My spouse loved it. The kids meal was cute and satisfying for a 5 year old. Service was good and we requested to be seated by the window as there was no air conditioning and relatively warm in the restaurant.

Black Ramen is my favorite. If you wanna try their Katsu and Ramen together, please choose thoer ramen combo.

After a long hike, I was seriously craving ramen, so I ended up at this spot—one of the few places serving ramen in West Vancouver. It was just after 1 PM and already nearly full, so I had high hopes. But when the ramen arrived, it honestly didn’t look appetizing at all. And sure enough, the taste was just… flat. No depth, no richness—just a very one-dimensional broth. I ordered the “Black Ramen,” but I couldn’t figure out what was supposed to be black about it. Super disappointing.

This place also serves stuff like tonkatsu, which feels a bit random for a ramen joint, so I’d say it’s more of a general family restaurant than a proper ramen shop. If you’re coming specifically for ramen—especially if you know what good ramen tastes like in Japan—you’re better off skipping this one.

You truly can’t go wrong with Tenton. The service here is top-tier every staff member is welcoming, professional, and clearly values customer satisfaction. The restaurant maintains a clean and inviting atmosphere, making each visit comfortable and enjoyable. As for the food—consistently delicious, well-presented, and full of flavor. I’ve been impressed every time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality dining and genuine hospitality. You won’t be disappointed.

The food was decent, but we were a group of 6 and automatically charged 18% gratuity. Although it was stated on the menu, the service didn’t reflect the quality expected for that level of tip. When we tried to adjust the tip based on our experience, the server told us it was mandatory and refused to let us choose the gratuity ourselves. We felt uncomfortable and pressured, especially since we were not reminded in advance. It would have been much better if the staff had informed us upfront or if the service had been more attentive.
