While the food and service were quite good, the music was uncomfortably loud and disruptive to the dining experience.
When I politely shared this feedback, noting that the volume and choice of music were unpleasant, I was met with a dismissive and disrespectful response.
I was told that “the manager prefers it that way, and customer opinions are not important.”
This attitude was disappointing and took away from what could have been an enjoyable visit.

While planning our event, our friends and family insisted that great food is what leaves a lasting impression at any good party.

We were delighted by the catering options offered by the Orchard, and most importantly, my husband was adamant about using fresh, high-quality ingredients. He works in the food and beverage industry and, while usually soft-spoken, he’s quite outspoken when it comes to food. We had multiple tastings at the Orchard until he gave his stamp of approval.

The Orchard catered our event a couple of weeks ago, and we’ve received so much positive feedback from our guests about how delicious and fresh the food was—especially the lemon pesto seafood pasta. We also had many guests with dietary restrictions, and the manager, Melissa, was incredibly accommodating, never making us feel like a bother for asking about ingredient modifications.

Overall, as we’ve taken the past week to unwind from our big event, we’ve been flooded with compliments about the Orchard and their team. We’re so grateful to Melissa and everyone at the Orchard for helping make our night stress-free and memorable!

The food is very subpar. Chicken was super dry on my thai bowl, noodles over cooked and lacked seasoning. My friend liked her chicken pasta though. The waitress wasn’t very friendly to us either. 🤷‍♀️

This was only my 3rd time here and I wonder why? The location is great (nice views), the service very good and the food is excellent. Nice menu choices well - executed.

Service was good and the atmosphere pleasant. the food was a different story. The risotto was an 'original' creation. An odd mixture of cheeses, almonds and a surround of balsamic vinegar. In fairness the contents were listed on the menu and, although a little strange, I thought that they may work. They didn't. We also had some lamb chops which were done to the other side of well. That didn't work either. We had a strawberry shortcake, which although nice, had no resemblance to its name.

A truly wonderful breakfast experience! The food was delicious and beautifully presented — especially the eggs benedict and crispy hashbrowns. The cozy fire and outdoor setting made the morning feel warm and peaceful. Friendly service and a calm atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The service can be a bit slow but, when you love a place and want it to succeed you can put up with it. It's worth the wait. Great food and friendly staff. Have enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner on numerous occasions.

The service was extremely poor.
I visited this restaurant for breakfast this morning with a group of 6 people. I used to frequent this place and it was previously good, but today's experience was disappointing.

The service was extremely poor. When we arrived, they didn't provide enough chairs for our group. I had to ask multiple times for an additional chair, and when the server finally brought one, they rudely slammed it down in front of me with an attitude.

Throughout our meal, I had to repeatedly beg for basic items like salt, sugar,Jam and coffee refills. The cookie served with my coffee appeared to be half-eaten, and when I mentioned this concern, the server did replace it but with a visibly annoyed demeanor, as if I was being unreasonable.

It seems the restaurant is understaffed, particularly in terms of waitstaff in the dining area, which likely contributed to the poor service. However, this doesn't excuse the rude behavior.

I'm disappointed as this used to be a reliable spot. I hope management addresses these service issues and improves staff training.

The Orchard Restaurant at Gleneagles Golf Course in West Vancouver offers a nice dining experience, though the menu is fairly basic. The food is decent, but nothing particularly exciting or unique stands out, though the daily happy hour menu seems to be popular among golfers and guests.

Service is friendly and attentive, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere. During busy hours on occasion you need to flag down the servers. If you're after a casual meal with an amazing golf course view, The Orchard is a solid choice—just don’t expect anything extraordinary from the menu.
