Most expensive place to drink in West Vancouver! The male server completely ignored our group and had to constantly flagged down to order or use a waitress to call him over.

Enjoyed a beautiful evening on the outdoor patio of the Red Lion while visiting West Vancouver. The service, drinks, and food were all fantastic! The calamari and mussels were incredible!

Had a very weird experience. Place was not busy but it took us 5-8 min to get a table. Then waited another 15 min before we were given a menu. The waiter was extremely not interested in having us.

Cozy, classic & charming atmosphere! We were sat by the stone fireplace and big window, and there was a piano player which added to the already lovely ambience! We shared some delicious smoked sausages for appys and then enjoyed some beer battered fish and chips. Quite tasty and satisfied our cravings. I found the Dark and Stormy was done well. The Irish lads with us loved the Guinness, so big ups to this place!

The afternoon was swelteringly Summer-heat-wave hot after nearby appointment, but inside the Red Lion Pub, in the very heart of historic Dundarave, cool air-conditioned respite, many savory menu choices, and welcoming servers awaited to make a really great experience!

Opted for the "Red Lion Burger" platter. Beef was tasty and nicely seasoned, accompanied by bacon, cheddar, and romaine lettuce. The side fries -- perfectly crispy outside and tender fresh inside.

The restaurant interior definitely takes equal billing with the terrific cuisine: classic British pub atmosphere and fascinatingly divided into several cozy semi-private alcoves, dining/entertainment areas: i.e., self-contained dining room with focal stone fireplace and facing conversation area; sports-bar zone at rear on 2-levels with upholstered booths /bar stools / table-seating -- plus 2 large screens for watching hockey/football matches -- all dominated by the backdrop of dark carved-wood bar; and finally the signature Red Lion patio space fronting Marine Drive with its forest of red umbrellas.

If you're interested in Dundarave - West Van history and cool memorabilia, the interior vibe is truly like a "way-back machine" and all the artefacts will give you almost as much enjoyment as the brilliant menu and friendly people.

This time I visited around 8pm on a Wednesday night. Ordered two pastas, two burgers and a salad. It took over half an hour for the food to be served, but it all arrived in one go.
Spaghetti Peppino is delicious, but the noodles are a bit wet and chewy.
The red lion burger was supposed to be a special selection just like the name of the store, but in fact it was just an ordinary burger. The beef was a bit burnt and it was dry without sauce.

Wonderful spot on Marine Drive for a bite to eat! The fish & chips were yummy, just a bit too much batter for my loving!

Drinks were tasty, plus the service and outdoor seating atmosphere were perfect!
