Great restaurant my husband and I love coming here ! Great food and service and friendly staff although the manager (great as he is) does all the work while his staff does not much but hang around at the bar - friendly as they are. The manager also sat down at a table and chewed his finger nails and went on his phone - as well as I noticed the cutlery wasn't polished it was just put into the bins after the dishwasher which I worked in a restaurant and it skips a whole sanitary measure, great restaurant and friendly staff but I think with a bit more proper work ethic they could be better

Still confused why they wont sell just a breakfast sandwich I've asked a few times over the years and they wont do it. Today we learned unfortunately that they have changed the only good food they had their hash browns, their wedges now :( not as good very disappointing when expecting their delicious hashbrowns, bacon was burnt and toast was not toasty today don't know what happened to trolls but wont be coming back

Great location but aside from that, this was a very mediocre lunch experience. Service was not great and the waiter left our table without taking my lunch order and then wouldn’t put in my order later and argued with me that I had agreed to split the fish and chips with my husband. Fish was extremely good. The chips were served cold, and when I complained the server brought back a.new serving of lukewarm fries. This is definitely a place that should serve the French fries piping hot! Overall I would not go again.

There were 6 tables when we were having lunch. I waved my hands possibly for 5 mins before someone came to take our order. We were mostly ignored, suspect staff might be slightly racist. There were about 5 staff just standing around but nobody served us. Should have gone to the restaurant 2 shops away instead.
Trolls became along the years a tradition when we are in Horsebay. Cool and relax atmosphere, great fish & ships and friendly staff. Tonight was another great evening, the fog in the harbour brought a misty and serene atmosphere and the waiter was super friendly. He made our day!

The seafood chowder I ordered for takeout tasted kind of off (sour), I didn't have time to take back as I was leaving on the ferry. Not the friendliest of service, no smile with a greeting, "what do you want?"Didn't offer the menu, the takeout bag was dropped in front of me, the waitress had a scowling look on her face. Not going back.
