Great family bakery

Whipping down the highway most probably fly by the Fomi's sign and long driveway without a thought. We finally stopped in out of curiosity and now always drop in whenever we're nearby. This family run bakery and cafe is warm and welcoming whether you're sitting with a coffee gazing on the view or just picking up bread. There's a large selection of bread and rolls, and the variety of pastries and sweets makes my knees buckle. Worth a few minutes of your time.

Love all the European style pastries. Top notch and a great reason to visit the Slocan Valley! Come here as often as I can.

If you haven’t tried fomi’s bakery. You are missing out. Donuts, cinnamon buns, pizza and fresh baked bread are all excellent! Not only is the food fresh and delicious, the customer service is excellent.

Foamy's has been helping making my day for along time. Cinnamon buns, pizza, eclairs, cookies, borscht, fritters and chocolate...yum

You'd be surprised that such a great bakery exists tucked away just out of Winlaw . We always stop in for a treat and sometimes fresh bread in our way through.

Spent the day with the family xc skiing on the Slocan Valley Rail trail, stopped for a sweet treat and warm up at Fomis. The baked treats are to die for and the bread world class. Upon other visits I have enjoyed the chicken sandwich or scooped a pizza for dinner. A must for any visitors and a staple for locals. They have an access trail that takes you right to the rail trail.

Everything I have ate at Fomi's has been delicious. If you're travelling through Winlaw British Columbia I highly recommend stopping in for great baked goods!

Stopped in at Fomi's Bakery while cycling on the Slocan Valley Rail Trail. The bakery is located just off the rail trail (or just off Hwy 6, if you're driving).

I opted for a small bowl of borscht, which came with a slice of fresh bread. Wow, was it good! The second tough decision I had to make is what to have for desert. An eclair it was, and it was delicious!

If you're cycling the rail trail, Fomi's is about one km up the valley from the Winlaw parking area (there is a sign along the trail). It's a handy, and great, place to plan a meal or desert stop.

We came here after biking on the rail trail. Let me say....don't use the bike trail!! Very steep and not trimmed at all, we did make it up pushing our bikes through the cloud of mosquitos and weeds but it was so worth it! We had lunch but had to return later by vehicle to get what we really wanted. They have frozen meals of which I bought chili and borscht(both delicious) plus sweets, breads, cookies and buns. I bought something of all categories and while we were on the rest of our holiday feasted on these delicious treats. I recommended that my brother who lives in Castlegar need to stop. We will be back. They are not open Sunday, Monday.
