What a lovely surprise! The food was delicious, great outdoor seating, and dog friendly. We had the falafel wrap, cashew crusted tofu, and salmon burger, and all were amazing!

Great food and an interesting menu. Service was excellent. The only weird things is that they did not have a Men's Room! They had a Ladies Room and a genderless handicap washroom. The genderless room was used by everyone, so men were always lined up while the ladies stood empty. Other than that, it is a great place!

Don’t let the name fool you. The food and service were amazing, especially after a long bike ride on the Slocan Trail! Best part was that our buddy got to hang out on the patio also.

Had breakfast here the other day and all I can say is wow. The food was incredible. The hash brown were out of this world. Nelson could only dream of a place this good

Food is hit and miss. Some items are amazing, other items need more work with flavor. Waitress doesn't refill water cups unless you ask. Overall, it was a disappointment.

Great place! Friendly accommodating staff, delicious food, fast service! Be sure to stop in-don’t drive by!
I genuinely don't know how to rate this place. It's like every time you go it's a complete gamble if you get food made by an amazing chef who is passionate and cares about what they feed their community - - or if you wait an hour to get slop made by someone just there for a paycheck.
I really want to support a great local restaurant but half the time we eat there we feel ripped off. Which is such a shame because the other half of the time its great.

just came here recently for the first time in years and it was definitely better than i remember. i'm quite sure there are new owners and the menu is different. i got a burger and it was good and my sister got the borscht which was pretty flavorless. the coffee is great though. nice atmosphere and kind employees. overall pretty good experience.

TLDR — We just had the most delicious dinner at Sleep is for Sissies, and the service was incredible. I had previously been there many years ago and didn’t have a great experience, but tonight I really didn’t want to cook and I’ve seen a lot of posts of their specials and so I looked through the menu. I spotted tequila lime chicken wings, which I used to go out for in Smithers 20 years ago and hadn’t seen on a menu since! We got there just after 8 pm and the lovely server let us know they were out of chicken wings, and I guess my face showed my disappointment. I explained that it wasn’t a big deal but I’d been excited for them and why, and she immediately offered to check in with the kitchen, and they actually offered to either put the sauce on some chicken strips, which was very kind, but I decided to just try them another time. While we were looking at the menu the chef actually came out and told our server that he’d be willing to defrost an order for me, it’d just take a little extra time. This is less than an hour before closing, and it was quiet in there—I’m sure they were hoping to be all cleaned up and ready to leave at 9pm on the dot! I was so grateful that they’d gone so far above and beyond, but I decided to go with a steak, and my partner had the pickle spears and fish and chips. The portions were very generous, the steak was perfectly medium rare, and OMG THE HAND-CUT CHUNKY FRIES. My fella said the fish and chips were fantastic too. The breading was crisp and not overly greasy. Such a delicious meal, the best service I’ve had in ages, the prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was gorgeous. We will be back soon!!
Under new management Sissies is the new heart of Win-Love. The coffee is great, the food is excellent, and the proprietors go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service.
