Starbucks and Grubhub Team Up for Delivery

Need your Starbucks fix but can't make it to the café? Starbucks is partnering with Grubhub so you can order your favorite drinks and snacks for delivery.

Yesterday, the coffee company announced a new partnership that will allow Grubhub's millions of users across the United States to order their favorite Starbucks drinks and snacks for delivery. According to the companies, Starbucks was the most searched-for brand not yet available on Grubhub's platform.

The nationwide rollout begins in June, first launching in select Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Illinois cities. But by August 2024, the delivery option should be available at every Starbucks location across all 50 states through Grubhub.

"Customer demand to get Starbucks delivered continues to increase, customers continue to want convenience in their everyday lives," said Meg Mathes, who oversees digital at Starbucks. "Partnership with Grubhub will help fuel this growth by increasing availability of Starbucks products to Grubhub's tens of millions of customers."

For Grubhub, it adds a beloved national brand while boosting their merchant numbers nationwide.

"We're offering customers more of what they want on Grubhub while strengthening our enterprise offering and growing our merchant supply in markets nationwide," said Liz Bosone from Grubhub. "We're proud to offer national and independent restaurants on our platform — a complementary duo — to give customers more choices and build loyalty."

Ordering will be easy through Grubhub's website and apps. You can track deliveries and Starbucks designed carriers to keep drinks hot or cold.

Customization is still an option. You can modify drinks just like in-store, choosing milk, extra espresso shots, and more. Most of Starbucks' menu, including seasonal items, will be available too.

Grubhub+ members paying $9.99 monthly get $0 delivery fees and other perks on Starbucks orders. But everyone can expect standard service charges.

For Starbucks, mainstream delivery through Grubhub represents the latest way it meets evolving customer needs - from mobile ordering and rewards to a seamless digital experience.
