Walmart Welcomes 92 In-Store Mr Gatti's Pizza Locations

Mr Gatti's Pizza, the Texas-based pizza chain plans to open 92 locations inside Walmart stores across four states: Kentucky, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.

The rollout starts soon. By year's end, 12 locations will pop up in south Oklahoma and north Texas.

Jim Phillips, CEO of Mr Gatti's, explained why Walmart came knocking: "Walmart recognized Mr Gatti's as a regional favorite with a 55-year legacy of delivering exceptional taste and experiences to our customers. We've been vocal about our growth goals, and this partnership with Walmart enables us to accelerate our expansion into new areas."

These new Walmart locations will be more than grab-and-go. You can sit down for a meal, order delivery, or use the Mr Gatti's app to place an order and pick it up after shopping.

With these 92 new spots, Mr Gatti's will have over 230 locations open or in development across the U.S. They're not stopping there – the company eyeing even more Walmart stores in other states.

For Walmart, it's about making shopping more fun. As Amy White, senior manager of business development at Walmart, puts it, "This collaboration not only aligns with our commitment to offering diverse and high-quality options but also supports our goal of creating a one-stop destination for all our customers' needs."

This move is not Walmart’s first rodeo with in-store dining. After ending a long partnership with McDonald's in 2021, they’ve been trying new food options - Nathan's Famous, Wow Bao, and even poke bars in some stores.
