But Susan likes a challenge, and not only does she focus on white, she also introduced rarities to California like Bourboulenc and Clairette Blanche. Avoiding oak casks, she can craft clear, lean, complex but approachable, beautiful white wines without the dreadful and so common "Chardonnay aftertaste". Their Ingénue is a genuine success, with a perfect name for a wine that will soon become a celebrity. Note: the staff is so knowledgeable it's refreshing - Kathie was just incredible.

This winery is absolutely worth a visit when in Lodi. Impeccable and interesting white wines with an incredible staff of friendly people and a perfectly on point food pairing. I almost always drink reds, but Acquiesce deepens my appreciation and appetite for a stellar white every time I taste their wines. Each time I visit I kick myself for not returning sooner. Don’t repeat my mistake, visit now ?
