Was in the mood for Thai but couldn’t muster the will to eat here. There must’ve been 15 cats and the entire place smelled like a litter box. It was so dirty I wouldn’t trust them to be my mechanic no less serve me food. Health department should probably stop by.
Haven't tried much of the menu items yet, but the ones I did try was prepared pretty well. Small family business, all transactions are cash only. Prices are affordable while food portions is within price value. Would recommend to anyone who wishes get authentic dishes. Plenty of parking for different size vehicles.. Few downsides though cash only, B grade, small menu options, and sometimes runs out of ingredients. 3.5 - 4 stars.
Visited for dinner on February 17, 2022. Objectively, this is what I encountered: Pulled into parking lot and there was a cat in the window of the "dining room". Entered the building and was immediately hit with a strong odor that is hard to describe - like a combination of random food smells mixed with cat box odor. Not pleasant. Greeted and seated by the very kind owner as a second cat ran across the dining area. The establishment was NOT AT ALL CLEAN. As I scanned through the extremely sticky menu, the owner brought my companion and me random canned beverages: an ice tea and a Hawaiian Punch (we did not order). My companion and I immediately decided to get our food order "to-go". When I learned that the restaurant only took cash, I gracefully used that for an excuse to leave the restaurant.Opinion: I really was in the mood for Thai food but with the filthy state of the "dining room" (the living room of an old house) and the fact that cats were roaming the restaurant, I could only imagine that the kitchen would most likely not be sanitary. I have traveled extensively in Thailand and have eaten meals in some very poor areas. Honestly, I have never been in such a dirty establishment anywhere and this restaurant made me uncomfortable enough not to place an order - no matter how fantastic the food may be.The owner seemed very hospitable and I wish him the best! I assume it is a rough living. I am disappointed that I didn't get to try the menu, but I just had a really bad feeling about the lack of cleanliness of the establishment - and that is coming from a person that is not a "cleanliness freak".
Loved the food we had his tom yum soup, egg rolls, chicken chow mein, and white rice. The owner of the store is a little old man and his cat. My husband and I were commenting on how awesome this guy is. He grows his own herbs, and cooks in his restaurant/house.We will definitely be going back to this place! We did feel bad because we noticed there is no ventilation in the building, and since he is by himself, he is taking care of the customers walking in the establishment, cooking, cleaning and charging the customers for the cost of his food like I said he is awesome.
This is the spot for the combination spicy rice. The owner give you peanuts and a soda while he makes your food.
Honestly we saw an old man really trying to keep restaurant open. He has no help and place desperately needs cleaning. A woman came in and said he used to have lady helping but she hadn't seen her in a while. She had items she always ordered and was delicious. I ordered vegetables fried rice which was delicious. Shrimp fried rice as well. I left sad and wondered where his family was. I love animals so the cat was cool. I gave him extra money for food and he was the most grateful person. Kept offering water/soda no charge. I said a special prayer for him
Generous people and great food
I just ordered two meals from this place. Pad tai and shrimp fried rice. The pad tai had a strange taste to it… like it was made with something stale. Maybe the peanuts. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice was very rubbery and wasn’t tasteful. While my son and I were eating he found a cat hair in his food and I found a bug in my food. We threw both of our meals away after just a couple of bites. It was a waste of $20. I think this place should be shut down do to it’s conditions.
Ordered Green Curry (with chicken) for lunch this afternoon. It came with plenty of rice and was delicious! The service was courteous and friendly. Will definitely return...looking forward to trying their Pad Thai next time!
Authentic thai food. Business running by a senior man, I think he is trying hard to keep the business open and make a living during the pandemic. Would recommend to anyone who visit this small city.

I came here on a whim one day. I was deciding between mexican (the place across the street) or this. Saw that the mexican place has a C rating and told myself I'd rather bite the bullet and head here. Surprise, surprise, despite their B rating, this place is really quant. Honestly was kinda skeptical that this was a restaurant cause it took a couple minutes to be greeted by someone, also them having a cat kinda shocked me (never expected a cat in a place like this, but it doesn't bother you). Got greeted by the owners, and offered some water despite it not being that hot that day. Ended up ordering the chicken pad thai and taking it home. It was really good, a bit greasy, but definitely good. Didn't get sick or anything either in case you're wondering. Definitely would come back here again.
We moved from Vegas to Barstow area. We’ve been looking for an authentic Thai restaurant with the area. First, this is authentic Thai food, the flavor reminds me of my moms cooking as a kid. Second, the owners are what customer service is supposed to be!!! They are the sweetest, friendly and cutest couple ?took care of us the second we walked in the door until the second we left.
Delicious food. Small hole in the wall. Mom and pop are very sweet people. A must go.
We eat here every time we come visit my mother in law. Man it's so good. You cant go wrong with the food or the hospitality. So humble. Definitely customers for the rest of our lives.
We came across this restaurant while shopping. At first glance, we were unsure of whether this place was the same as what we found online. The interior isn't like any other typical restaurant. But, as the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover. The owners are the sweetest and friendliest people you'll ever meet. We ordered fried rice, seafood soup, chow mein, and pad see ew. All these dishes were amazing and they definitely exceeded our expectations. They have amazing prices and the portions are more than enough. We highly recommend this restaurant.
