This is a classic “no frills” local deli. Not sure it’s famous but the menu is pretty epic. Food is great and service was fast and friendly. Prices are LA high (eg higher than you are probably used to unless you are from around here). Lots of delicious bakery items as well. Eat at the counter, or inside tables, or the covered outside patio. VictorB

I hope the owner of this delicatessen see’s this statement. I have been a loyal customer for many years and frequent the restaurant 3 or 4 times a week. The service is good, the food is good, but the food is expensive. Now the owner has the audacity to add an additional fee of 3% the bill for using a credit card !!! I have 2 receipts from the food I purchased today the first one was for $130.59 (the balance due copy) the second one $134.51 (customer copy)There was no mention of an additional charge and I have always assumed the balance due is the balance is due. Why would a business owner who has a very successful and I’m sure profitable business, nickel and dime a good / great customer??? I tried to express my displeasure at the restaurant only to have the waitress point to very small print on the second receipt stating a 3% additional charge.This additional charge was the owners idea. Very poor idea when you already charge more than many other restaurants in town. I hope to hear from the owner that he has reconsidered this and if so I’ll continue on with many more years of patronage. My credit card company says they should not be charging additional money for using a credit card. Frustrated Customer :(

I was especially impressed with their hostess, Abbey. So professional, friendly and helpful. She sat with my granddaughter while I took my grandson to the bathroom, checked in with us for refills while greeting all the new guests with a big smile and taking them to their tables. Brava Abbey! You made our day! We will definitely be back. (Side note: the food was delicious!)

I ordered 2 sandwiches and a couple cookies for lunch, to go. The total was $60. Upon returning home 30 minutes away I discovered no au jus with the French dip which is, in my opinion, supposed to come with a French dip. I called, they said it doesn’t say anything about it on the menu- you have to ask for it. I would assume for $50 sandwiches the French dip would come with au jus. Disappointing! The food is good though.
We visited for breakfast and were thoroughly impressed! The service was outstanding, and the food exceeded our expectations. The enchiladas were flavorful and perfectly paired with their sides. The Greek omelet was delicious, and the hash browns were crisp and satisfying. The skillet breakfast was hearty and packed with flavor, while the Healthy Start lived up to its name—light and refreshing. We also tried the pancakes, which, although not as good as the other dishes, were still fune. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for breakfast.

Check your Togo orders quality has dropped off. Ordered 2 toasted sandwiched with wellsdone fries. Got both sandwiches not toasted and in the wrong bread plus fries were ice cold.

I honestly don't believe that "famous" is a rightful moniker - - unless you live within three miles of this good facility. The place was clean and it's menu well laid out. Not sure how competitive the prices are but the food quality was good or better than good. Efficient service came with a smile
