Had lunch at the Cuckoo Rooster after reading some Yelp reviews I had a Double Me Chicken Sandwich and seasoned fries. The place is pretty dark and uninviting and the menu is a bit confusing. When I was ready to order, I was directed to a touch screen to place my order. The touch screen did not intuitively match the menu on the wall, so I tried a few times to order what I wanted. Great chicken sandwich. Had the Original Cuckoo Sandwich with slaw on the side, garlic seasoning. It was delicious. The worker who took our order was very friendly and answered all our newbie questions. I would go here over the chains. I love supporting small businesses.
First time here and the food was fantastic. We got the Deluxe sandwich with garlic crinkle fries. Both were amazing! But sure why the a/c wasn't even on during 90°+ day so that was a bit uncomfortable. Great fried chicken sandwich and the medium hot spices were perfect.
