We went there for the first time on Saturday to celebrate my birthday. I was enraptured by their Koubideh (ground meat) kebob and Joujeh (chicken fillet) kebob. I invite anyone who misses Iran's juicy, tender, and flavourful kebobs to try Maral cuisine.
Went here for lunch with my wife today. It was our first time visiting. We ordered the Maral plate for two (I’m unsure of the name exactly, but it gives you three types of rice, and 4 different types of meat. OMG…some of the most tender and flavorful meat and best rice ever. This is just amazing food, its super upscale without even trying to be. No crazy sauces, reductions, no gimmicks…just meat seasoned and cooked perfectly, so tender (chicken was like marshmallowy soft). The rice with the lima beans…just amazing. The lima beans turn to butter in your mouth. With pops of sweetness from the grilled tomatoes and currants in the rice. My wife sat there in silence for the longest time. I didn’t know if she was disappointed or having a food-gasm. Thankfully, It was the latter. Haha. The plate for two was sooo plentiful, we didn’t even make a dent in it. We had enough to bring home for like two more dinners, for sure. We have four kids, and I think this “plate for two” could easily satisfy everyone. Maral Cuisine…five stars! The servers were nice. Two thumbs up! 100%. If you are in this area, do your taste buds a flavor and give Maral Cuisine a visit.

Ordered 4 sandwiches for to go - my sandwich got cancelled cause they were out of vegetarian option so I didn’t get to taste it - 2 of the sandwiches made incorrectly- asked for no lettuce and both came with lettuce. Side orders were 2 fries and 2 salads I ended up with 3 salads and 1 fries.
Called and made a complaint and I was asked to go back to the restaurant! I’m sorry it’s 2024 you should be able to void a transaction.

Every time I get take out, they skimp SUPER hard on somag, butter, & onion & bread as if it’s 5$ each. To top it off they don’t put utensils at times so really you don’t get any service or proper due care as you should when going and getting food. This is a Persian restaurant, you can’t have a proper Persian meal with 1 butter & 1 somag . That’s not how this world works.

If you’re in the area I definitely recommend popping in for some amazing Persian food. As travellers from Toronto we were far from disappointed, in fact very impressed with the quality of food, the attentive service, the beautiful restaurant and even how quickly the food came out. If looking for a persian restaurant near Agoura Hills you will not be mad about this one!
