Food here is ok. Ambiance about the same-ok. Staff seem angry and the bartender has a vibe of she would rather be anywhere else in the world than here.

Been coming here for years !!!! My go to is the Greek wings and original buffalo with half Caesar salad and fries !!!! Yummy ! Everyone is always so friendly service is always quick ! It's my comfort spot for any time of the day . It has a cozy home feel to it :)

came for dinner with a group after a work event. they were very accommodating for our large group and put half the tables together so we can sit together. I heard a lot of great things about their spam fries and it did not disappoint! also got their fish burger with a side salad. everything was delicious!

I love this place! The spam fries are my favorite! The owner recognized me the last time I was in. I brought my friends with me after the SF Giants 10k. He seated us right away. They tried the Siam fries and loved them! This is my go to after that race but I need to go more often bc it's such a neat place to grab a cocktail and some food. Breakfast is my favorite there!

We had the Greek pizza and garlic fries. Very delicious and large servings! Coffee was not great, but it's a bar so I would imagine cocktails are better. Looking forward to sitting in the back patio in the future.

This is a true gem in Alameda where the neighbourhood comes together for a relaxing evening or for fun times where new friendships begin.

Look no further for the best service, food, and vibe of Alameda at 1400! Yani truly as an owner had us captivated over the Benedict of the Bay! My father had a chorizo Benedict and myself the classic .. just epic!! Thank you !!

This place is a gem! It's a great bar with an impressive staff, and friendly regulars. The first time we stopped in, we went for the standards: wings and fries. While having our drinks the guy that pulled up to the stool next to us ordered the spam fries along with something else. We had seen them on the menu but weren't sure about ordering them. He shared his order with us! Not only are they served in a spam can with chopsticks, but they come with 2 amazing aolies: wasabi and chipotle. We were hooked! Hubby discovered his favorite Scotch (Laphroiag 10yr) here. We have since come in to get the Alameata Pizza (big enough for 2) made with house made sauce and sausage, pepperoni and bacon; heavily topped for $22! Tonight I got the meatloaf and hubby got the Prime Rib. Don't sleep on this place! If you are in Alameda, come through! If you are in the Bay, this is a destination!

Don't miss the Grandma Cooper - this is a drink special available from exactly 5:00PM to 5:15PM. Evan Williams bourbon and lemon lime soda for $1.05 in memory of the owner's grandmother who lived to 105 drinking these (at 5PM every day I just learned). Have one and say cheers to Grandma Cooper! I should mention that the food, service and atmosphere at 1400 are all great too - it's an appealing space with big windows that look out on the town.

My wife and I love this place! They have amazing spam fries and other foods! The drinks are really good too! It's a pretty relaxing vibe with choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Service is acceptable. Definitely recommend!

Amazing food. The foundation of most reviews, would bury the lead. It starts with the owner, John "Yanni" Placourakis. He welcomed us like family treated us like visiting dignitaries and even hugged us goodbye like we were in Greece. From the drinks through out our visit we always felt like the staff was at our beck and call. And if you like true bar and grills, you will dig the stained glass mural ceiling and the numerous nods to a bygone era. I love this place!!!
