Admiral Maltings is a top-notch malt house and bar. I mainly come here to pick up grain for brewing beer at home, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgable. I’m not a big spender on grain (as I make small batches), yet they always take the time to make sure I get what I need, including checking for stock in the back if they are out of a grain I need. They are genuinely curious about what beers I am making with their grain and have asked for me to bring some by! Several of the staff work at local breweries and their knowledge of the product they are serving comes through.
Since Admiral mainly serves beers made with their malt, the taps are full of the best beer in town. Prices per pint are also reasonable, especially for the Bay Area. Prices for the grain are a steal compared to any homebrew shop.
Finally, Admiral’s grain will raise your beer to the next level! Fresh malt is paramount when making the best beer possible, and it is rare that I see malt older than a month for sale, and once it was less than a week old.
There is a great selection of beers and a friendly/competent staff!
Great ambience, friendly staff. Factory tour every Sunday at 3pm. Outdoor and indoor seating available- perfect for sunny weather. Wide draft beer selection - IPAs, Pils, stouts. No ciders on tap sadly, but they do have Gowan's Graveston bottled cider :)
I told the beertender I love pickles and he gave me three (I already ate one I really like pickles)
Great variety of local beers on tap ranging from juicy IPAs to malt-forward stouts, all made with Admiral Maltings' malted grain. They even had local whiskies made with their malts, (will have to try those next time), and they offer tours of their facility. The staff were friendly and really nice.
They have a tasty food menu ranging from some larger plates all the way down to snack bites. Carnivore and vegan options available.
There's ample dog-friendly seating outdoors next to bike racks, and indoors you can grab a booth next to the window and watch the grain do its thing.
If you homebrew, you can also buy what you need for your grain bill. There's no beer without malt!

I am so grateful to Dr Agbomian. I discussed with he about my girlfriend health issues. Will just find out she got HSV 1 and I want negative and I love her so much and I help she find help. And with the Medication that Dr Agbomian Send to us cured my girlfriend within 3 weeks. I recommend a great sauce, of Healthy Lifestyle
Cool tour, and The Rake has an excellent selection of their customers’ beers on tap!

Great place with diverse malted beverages to visit after touring the nearby USS Hornet. Admiral Maltings is the first small scale, artisanal malting floor in California since 1906. Created by the owners of SF located Thirsty Bear and Magnolia artisanal breweries. Neat neat neat.
Beer was good. The food was terrible. They managed to screw up a hot dog. Yes, that's a fully burnt bun which had the consistency and taste of charcoal. I don't know how the cook and server thought that was okay to serve that way.
Staff is awful. Was told to put my mask on when I was trying to order a beer even though the bartender wasn't wearing his. The hypocrisy of this guy. They refused to serve my girlfriend and I
Great beer selection, friendly staff and sunny warm patio to enjoy it all.
