Im in the area for work often and I always visit the Alameda Cinema Grill, mainly for the live music atmosphere. The food is good but the vibe of the place out weighs the food not being great.

Okay so I’m loving the snack bar on the first floor but I’ve noticed there’s a second snack bar on the second floor so what’s with that one cuz every time I go upstairs to watch the movie and no one is there and I don’t see any snacks in being shown so can tell me if that one is in service or not cuz I’m confused but I’m loving the seats and the overall experience I love it a lot keep up the great work alameda theater

The bartenders are top-notch—always attentive, friendly, and ready with great drink and food suggestions. Special shoutout to Marco, Jordan (the new addition to the team), and of course, the amazing manager Miguel, who makes one of the best espresso martinis around, alongside Daniel who’s amazing! And let’s not forget Marco’s whiskey sour—my personal favorite!
The Salsa Jazz Band that plays every Thursday adds to the fantastic vibe, making it a perfect place to unwind, enjoy great music, and have an amazing time. Plus, happy hour runs until 6 PM, so get there early for some great deals!

Well we decided to finally stay a little later in the area to finally catch a live band. We both work in the area but live in Walnut Creek. We arrived around 6:30 to secure a spot close to the stage. The band was still doing sound check and we noticed out HOT it was inside. There is no AC but the other side where the cinema is, is much cooler. Even with the doors open, it was stuffy and when you stepped out it was cooler outside.
It was just shy of 7pm when the group went near the restroom and didn't see them again. I was already tired and with no cool air blowing for the customers, I asked my guy "when is the band going to play". We thought ooh their in the john or grabbing a beer. Now when I needed to go to the restroom, I had glanced and the 3 were eating/drinking on the patio enjoying the nice cool fall breeze. I went back and told my guy and he said ooh give them a few minutes. Well a few minutes pass that we ended up leaving at 7:42. Truly disappointed and atleast make an announcement. Above the stage, it says live band from 7pm to 9:30pm. Maybe we came on a off night
