It’s a very tasty sandwich and very big. The coffee is good and they’re connected to other businesses making this a convenient location.

I read about this spot and thought I give it a try. I had ordered popcorn chicken(great portion) two sandwiches( combo and chicken) I must admit, they know what they’re doing. Besides my usual place I would go to for Vietnamese sandwiches. I can say, this place is a MUST TRY!

The banh mi sandwich was actually pretty good! I'm so surprised that the overall rating for this place isn't higher. Ingredients were fresh, pate, mayo and pickled veggies were very tasty (and i eat A LOT of banh mi!) And the bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Only thing i would say is it's a mid-sized sandwich vs. some of the more monsterous 2-meal sandwiches you can sometimes get over in Oakland. However, they did get my no-cilantro order right, which banh mi shops will ignore 9 times out of 10 at other places, so that was a huge win for me! Definitely coming back again. Also, so convenient to have Gong Cha right next door. Yum.

Nice little place that they're fixing up. The staff were nice and quick to make my coffee. The Vietnamese coffee is a bit less bitter than elsewhere - quite tasty.

Love the banh mi combo. There’s many authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Alameda. This tastes the best to me.
Also the fried egg roll is very good too. It has chicken and other veggies inside.

came right at opening hours and the bread was so fresh! crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. i especially liked the pate here - just a pretty solid banh mi all around. the bad reviews are from 5 years ago (different owner?). great prices with the most expensive banh mi being at $8
Great value sandos. Where else in the Bay Area are you going to find an $8 Bahn Mi?

One of a kind Banh Mi in the heart of Alameda. Combo Special Sandwich (Ham+Pork+Headcheese) is unlike anything I’ve tasted before.

I don't know why they had such bad reviews, but I've been twice since they reopened and each bahn mi has been amazing! It's hard to find a good lunch under $10 these days and this place is delicious. The service has been really good too!

OMG, these bowls were terrible. Gummy rice, can vegetables and over sweet meat. I got the chicken and pork bowl. No, I will never go back. Oh and the music, well that's a different story, very loud. They catered to a certain group, not pleasant at all. I could not eat there with the music. Young, very young kids could cause they don't really pay attention. A terrible experience.
See Gong Cha boba tea, it's the same store and the same operation.
