Stepping into the Beanery of Alameda is always a delight. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of superior coffee fills the air, promising a perfect cup every time. What truly sets this place apart, however, is not just the exceptional coffee. The service here is impressively fast, ensuring that even during the busiest hours, you're not kept waiting. The staff are genuinely friendly, making each visit feel personal and welcoming. It's the kind of place where the baristas remember your order after a few visits, which adds a lovely personal touch. The environment is another highlight – clean, cozy, and perfectly conducive to either a quick coffee stop or a longer, leisurely visit with friends or a good book. It's this combination of superb coffee, swift service, warm hospitality, and a spotless setting that makes the Beanery of Alameda a standout. A well-deserved five-star experience that I can't recommend highly enough!

Well organized cafe in Alameda. Their coffee beans are one of the best in Alameda Island. They made good cappuccino, good ham, and brie cheese on baguette, turkey, and avocado on panini bread with spring lettuce and bean sprouts...

Coleyworld approved! ?Best coffee in Alameda for sure! Been coming here for years for the Raspberry White Chocolate Mocha! They also have delicious and freshly made sandwiches! Love walking around the market to pick up a few things after a quick coffee and snack break!

Excellent sandwiches, however I do not recommend the coffee. Not good. Coffee culture down the street much better drinks in my opinion.

I've been coming here semi-regularly for about the 6-7 years. Good selections of espresso drinks, fresh pastries, ready made and prepared sandwiches. I've never had any issues with service, either from order-takers or food / drink preparers. Always quick, congenial and ready to step and help if I have any questions.A bit of an average marking on the atmosphere which is not the fault of the good folks that run the place but rather of cliques of regulars who behave as if they are the show.

the drinks are ok, but come with surly unkempt servers at the counter with a ring in her nose and a broom up her a.., no matter how polite you are they just have to get snippy and sarcastic over a cup of coffee; just like any other joint in the bay area I suppose - the whole place is a dump

Cold brew coffee tasted like bitter watered down iced coffee. Definitely not cold brewed. Threw it out after a couple drinks, even after trying to alter the taste with creamer.

The Beanery is a local cafe with really delicious coffee drinks. It's got good coffee for people who love coffee, but also the sugar-laden stuff for people who normally drink Starbucks. They have some great unusual flavors, like German chocolate and gingerbread lattes. I haven't had their food, but the coffee is great.

My second time there. I ordered a simple black coffee and Ham and Brie sandwich. Pretty basic order I suppose.- They made me wait a long time because apparently they understood "Latte coffee" which is impossible I said that because I hate milk in my coffee. They changed my coffee and said they will refund me the difference (Still waiting for the refund).- On my way back home I started eating the sandwich. Some thin paper got incorporated to the melted brie. Brie and paper don't go well together. =)In conclusion, $12.50 for a black coffee + a Ham, paper and brie sandwich is definitely not worth it.I would not recommend that place to anyone.

I found myself at The Beanery one early morning before heading to a long work shift. I really appreciate that it opens quite early and has a set space for people to work at and enjoy their morning coffee. The drinks here come at a fair price for high quality. While there isn't a lot designated to park at, you can find parking along the streets when it isn't a big commute hour. For those who enjoy things with a little kick, I'd recommend trying the Mayan mocha, which has a some spiciness to it. My current seasonal favorite is the peppermint mocha, mainly because it's not as sweet as most places make. Food wise, I LOVE their spicy chicken panini. It's so flavorful! Whenever I'm on the go though, I usually get their almond croissant, which is soft and tasty and best served heated!

Scrumptious breakfast sandwiches plus a large variety of pastries & bagels. You can even pre-order via phone . Friendly staff always smiling and having fun. And if you're looking for a place to work... they have plenty of USB chargers and 120VAC outlets along the wall seating! Highly recommended if you're in Alameda or stopping by. Try their Pirates Matcha Chai Latte - HELLA GOOD!
