They have an INCREDIBLE selection of craft beer selection and they let you buy singles! They are next door to "Craft Beer and Wine" which is how I found this place. I love Craft but they have crappy hours whereas Everest is pretty much always open when I go. I've gotten Heretic Evil 3 here before which is a pretty hard to get seasonal IPA. Street parking only but they aren't on a particularly busy section so it's always good.

Real deal Indian food and groceries! No more having to travel to Berkeley or Fremont for authentic Indian food. They have a steam table and their food is legit, not "made for western consumption" food. I'm talking more gravy than ingredients, chewy mutton goodness! They also have Indian groceries in the back and in their freezer. Their gulab jamun is some of the best I've ever had and I'm a fan of Rangoli sweets. You MUST try this place!

This convenience store always has what you need but is overpriced. Hence the convenience fee. Check your food upon purchase since they have been known to sell expired food pretty regularly. Also, DONT BUY THE ICE CREAM at this place. Again, many of their ice cream selections are expired and have freezer burn on them.

Lovely, family run market. We stop in here often for small items. It's convenient, they have a good selection, and they are always very nice and remember us.

Everest Market is an unexpected spot for a market, a block or 2 away from park ave. no parking lot seen, just paid parking (not a quarter for an hour anymores, just 12 minutes. i.e. prime real estate offerings: convenience goods, liquors, wines, cafe? unsure meter ticking. buys: hurricane/king cobra maltss,, 2/$2 -only 2 items priced, got this instead of bud. -almost all brews unpriced, reasonable selection of microbrews. on draught: -careful of walking up steps, i'm been tripping on "plain" pavement recently. actutally obstructions i didn't see. (will i follow in my father's footsteps, he entered hospial never to exit after falling down some stairs? doubt it, the freeway will be my final resting place with all the crazy drivers out there), -courteous fast service, seems family runned. -higher prices result of location, location, location.

My people my people I beg you stay away from this store. I used to go to this store and get small items. On an off day I gabbed a significant amount of items and kept my receipt. The next day I went back to price check and I had been overcharged by over $6. It wasn't an accident because it was the store owners wife who did it. If you don't want to be robbed while being a consumer stay tf away from this store!

After I left Pippa & Co., I started coughing and I needed a bottle of water to soothe my dry throat. Well, Everest Market is at least close by (two doors away). This miniature store has grocery items, assorted cold beverages, snacks, bottles of wines, etc. There was plenty of bottled sodas, juices, beers, teas in the refrigerators in the back; but a limited supply of bottled water. I only saw one brand of purified water in a 20-ounce bottle. Everest Market is family owned. Husband and wife run the store. I have never been in a store where I walk up a few steps on a stair to enter. The store is spacious and the aisles are not narrow. Plus: Free Wi-Fi. Area is to the right has several tables and chairs. Coffee machine is on the counter. They sell lotto tickets. The market is also convenient for guests who are staying at the Alameda Hotel Apartments. I noticed a side door leading to the lobby of the hotel/apartment. Minor drawback and no big deal: Only one brand of bottled water ($1.50). Purchase: bottle of water and two triple 777 lotto scratch off tickets. First time for me to buy lotto scratch offs at another location than Santos Liquors. I can smile as I won $15 on one of the tickets...cha ching. Street parking is a little difficult in this area. Public transportation (AC Transit 51A) is close by. Return trip: yes, bus ride to the area to buy more scratch offs and have fun with my walking ventures.
