Very solid noodle spot in Alameda. The chicken wonton/noodle soup was flavorful/kid friendly, and we enjoyed the Taiwan beef noodle soup, zhajiang noodles, garlic cucumber salad and spicy wontons. I liked the chewy thick-cut “sharpened” noodles. I believe they have bbq skewers at dinner (we stopped in for lunch). We’re excited to try other noodle dishes and the Taiwanese braised pork & rice when we return!

I came for my first time 2 days ago and it immediately became my favorite noodle spot on the island. The broth is great, the handmade noodles have the perfect chew, the beef is so tender, and the portion size will definitely have me back in another few days as well.
They seemed pretty busy but still managed to have the appetizer come out timely. This was also my favorite cucumber salad I've had in some time as most restaurants I go to just slice it up with a clean, flat cut. I'm not sure if Chong Qing either smashed/broke up the cucumber instead as it had so many more crevices to hold the dressing which I reeeally loved.
I feel like I cheated myself by not coming in to try them sooner. Perfect meal!

We’ve been here twice. Possibly the best noodle soup I’ve ever had. The beef broth is meaty, spicy, had subtle five spice, and the numbing kick of MaLa spice. The dumplings is spicy oil are addictive, the cucumber salad is …. Spicy but cooling and refreshing. If you like spicy food, omg this place rocks. Spicy, but all with amazing layered subtle flavors. The owner is a total queen, we are not worthy. If you have a cold other now. You will be cured. If you don’t have a cold, also go there now.

I love this restaurant! Everything I've ordered has been amazing, and the handmade noodles are so good :) For the cold plates, like the cucumber salad and wood ear mushroom salad, I love getting a scallion pancake to dip in the left over sauce! I love the cold noodle dish in particular, but I haven't had anything at all I wouldn't consider a hit. Love to go back whenever I can and bring friends :)

Chongqing Noodle House in Alameda is a gem! Their beef noodle soup is delicious and super flavorful, and the fried noodle with sauce is perfectly savory. Cozy spot with fantastic staff. Always take people here visiting the east bay

I ate here for the first time yesterday. I've traveled a lot through Asia over the last year and have fallen in love with the food and flavors, so I thought I'd give this place a shot. Wow! We came in early (4 pm) so the place was empty. The staff were incredibly nice & helpful, asking what we liked and disliked to steer us to the best choices. We ordered spring rolls, chicken wonton soup, and street noodles. Everything was fantastic! Big portions, extremely flavorful, just the right amount of spice, and very satisfying. I will be back sooner or later with friends and family cause I can't wait to try more dishes!

Definition of a hidden gem. Super authentic. And plentiful outdoor seating! Love this place. Order the beef hand-pulled noodle soup, among your other items. (And feel lucky you have hand-pulled noodles in the ‘hood.)

Really good noodles. And friendly helpful service. I asked for mild spiciness and they were able to accommodate

Overall 6/10 (where 5 is average and 10 is the best meal I've ever had)
I got the Pickled Vegetables and Shredded Pork soup noodles and a Fried Tofu. Unfortunately the grill wasn't on for skewers (I dined early before dinner rush).
Pickled Vegetables and Shredded Pork soup noodles
- Broth wasn't that flavorful and looked and tasted a little like boiled dumpling water (which isn't necessarily bad). There was a lot of sesame oil and was too salty
- Noodle texture was the saving quality. Great chew.
Fried Tofu
- There was a lot of tofu in each piece which was great.
- It wasn't seasoned well. Quite plain; there was a sort of sweet soy oil at the bottom of the plate but being that it's fried tofu, it wasn't a great mix.

A hidden GEM! The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful - all hand made noodles, dumplings - everything from scratch. The owner Monica let me try her delicious cucumber salad and beef. She was so warm and personable, her family has been in the restaurant business for years. I’m surprised this place isn’t constantly packed. She even customized my soup to make it spicy 🥹🫶🏼 I found a new staple spot and will be bringing my family here!
