I can’t say enough good things about this cake shop! I want an elegant and tropical island themed cake, the cake we received was breathtakingly beautiful and absolutely delicious. I got so many compliments from our guests! It was hands down one of the best surprises of the entire reception! 💕🎂
On top of that, we tried their piña colada cupcakes, and WOW. 🍍🧁 They were tropical perfection: moist, flavorful, and unforgettable. I can’t wait to order a full-sized round cake in that flavor for my next birthday!
What really impressed us is how well they tailored the sweetness. My husband, our friends, and I all have low sugar tolerance, so we asked them to make the cake less sweet—and they nailed it. It was perfectly balanced and flavorful. They are not just for instagrams —we actually ate and enjoyed every bite!

We received many remarks not only about how it was a work of art, but also the tastiest cake they’ve ever had. I sent over a few inspo picks from Pinterest, and very quickly Rebekah understood the vision. The consistency of the both the cake and frosting is 10/10. Art + flavor win/win. Omg! Rebekah and doodles cakes really went above and beyond for a cake request I had. Celebrating a birthday and I wanted a mini custom ocean cake. Which seemed like a big ask for a mini cake. They added so many sweet details, it felt like the cake was made with so much love and care. The cake was absolutely beautiful but the taste of the cake omg so perfectly balanced. Not too sweet a little tart (ordered a carrot cake) so it's perfect and tastes so good. I'll be back even for cupcakes or the ice cream they serve or if I ever need a custom cake.

Quaint shop with excellent service, I got a cupcake on a whim since I was nearby. I think it was a rotating seasonal one that was salted caramel and ohmygoodness it was incredible. Perhaps the best cupcake I've ever had. Worth the price and the calories c: Also just FYI, there is no seating inside but a table and a bench outside.
Vegetarian options: I believe they had two selections at the time that were vegan. Other cupcakes were vegetarian of course.
Rebekah made a gender reveal burn away cake for me. Not only was the design flawless, but the cake itself was delicious! Her shop is now my go to bakery for all future events! Google won’t let me add the video of the burn away layer, but trust me, it was awesome!

I popped in for the 1st time to see if the vegan/gf cupcakes were any good. I purchased 3 different varieties, alongside several traditional cupcakes as well. They were all delicious, nothing about the GF/V ones felt like you were being deprived (which is often the case). I will definitely be going back to get more. Keep in mind, the cupcake & frosting tastes best if you let the cupcakes sit out for about 15 mins - the flavor and texture is so much better. Bonus points for super friendly service and help deciding.

I came across Doodlecakes in an Alameda Facebook group post, and I'm so glad I did! I asked Rebekah for a custom Skyline Chili cake for my friend's birthday, and was amazed to see she achieved EXACTLY what I was imagining! My friend was blown away when they saw it :)There were many tempting flavors for a custom cake! After hearing recommendations from Rebekah about what would work best for the design (she clearly knows what she's doing), I ordered a vanilla cake with a mix of vanilla/cream cheese frosting, and whipped cream filling with fresh strawberries and blueberries. The cake was absolutely delicious--everyone at the party raved about how it was moist with the perfect level of sweetness.Doodlecakes was very communicative about the delivery as well! I was texted about any delays, and called to ensure the cake made it to me safely after I asked a housemate to receive it for me.All in all, it was easy and a pleasure to work with Doodlecakes on a custom order. I paid $110 for my 6" custom cake + delivery + tax, and it was well worth it! I'll definitely be coming back to Doodlecakes and sending my friends their way for any custom cake needs :)
