As usal.i love their Blue cheese dressing.. I will bathe in one day then have licked.off ever so gently. But I don't like ordering a customized salad the way I have, for the past 5 years and instead of $12 to 14.bill. I get $17.00 then the salad practically just shoved then I asked for a bag it was shoved in carelessly into bag then sort of shoved to wards me.What's up with that? Can one marry Blue Cheese? ? I'll be known a Mrs.Cheese and smell funny.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE. seriously, the best salad place I've been to. They load you up with the greens for a reasonable price, and it's delicious! The other things sold there are also delicious, but the salads are on another level. Could not recommend this more.Vegetarian options: All of the salads can be made vegetarian, and most of the sides and soups are vegetarian.

Eat here, your body will thank you. If Greens & Grains only had a drive thru, it would reach a whole different segment of society that could benefit. Cost is the same as a hamburger fries and a coke these days. Delish, huge steak salad and a tall cold glass of water that your body is begging you for.

I can eat a full size G&G House salad for three meals and it's still so much food. Excellent flavor and crunch and I love the hot pinks and purples from the pickled onions (yummm) and beets - makes it more fun! Just insane value. Total go-to.

Their Mediterranean salad is one of my lunch go to's, its really good. Also I like how easy it is to order ahead and have your food ready for pick up when you get there!

Excellent salads here. I placed an online order for pickup and skipped the line, too. I got the house salad and added chicken, the Chinese chicken salad, and the kale Caesar salad with chicken, plus a chicken salad sandwich for my family. Everyone was happy.

I am no stranger to this establishment... especially prepandemic and I have a fond recollection of the bounty of goodness that is offered here. However, it has been some years since I hoisted a brown paper bag off their counter due to my work from home situation. Well last week a colleague of mines wanted to meet and we agreed on a working lunch. Since we were going to be working through lunch I decided to preorder the day before. I ordered G & G House Salad with added beats and avocado. Well, my salad was picked up with no avocado-Booooo! Other than that it was an OK salad. It was still bountiful and filling. My half salad was around $15 and I nibbled through half before I was done. I think I needed an extra side of dressing and definitely the avocado.I will come in person next time.

I'm very disappointed to find out their salad dressings are made with a vegetable blend oil. I asked what the vegetable was and he said probably rice bran. If a blend, it could be canola for all I know. He wasn't clear.I was hoping so much that he would say it was olive oil based I've gotten salads there regularly, but I will no longer be getting the salad dressings if they are using subpar oils. Dr. Chris Knobbe shares extensive information about how the seed Oils cause macular degeneration as well as other chronic health problems. You can find his Toks on YouTubeI went over to the market area to see if I could find any oils without canola oil. They have one called Prima Kitchen Racnch avocado oil. I also got some feta and parmesian to grate into my salad.I've noticed my vision getting steadily blurrier. Hoping this elimination of this regular dose of vegetable oil blend will help.

When I was on a search for a healthy and hearty salad and sandwich, I remembered Greens & Grains in the Alameda Marketplace and placed an order online for pick-up. I am SO happy that I did, because the food exceeded my expectations. The G&G House Salad - Full Size was HUGE and could feed an entire family. The mixed greens, beets, lentils, green beans, pumpkin seeds, along with my added chicken and avocado was super refreshing and reminded me of the many salads we used to get on the daily in SF. The dressing paired perfectly with the ingredients and my taste buds loved it.I also ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich, which came with tarragon aioli on multigrain ciabatta. This was seasoned really well and was a nice spin on your traditional sandwich. Just a note that the sandwiches were premade, so you aren't able to customize them. They also have prepared salads, rotisserie chicken, daily hot food specials, and soups that I'm looking forward to trying. Portions for the salad and salad were generous, so I had leftovers. Customer service was friendly and quick. There's usually a few people in line each time I've gone, so order ahead if you're in a hurry. Parking's available in the lot, but it can get busy during peak hours and on weekends.

I love my local Greens & Grains. Everything is fresh, nutritious and delicious. But I gotta tell you - I just tried their tamarind lentil soup for the first time… it is epic. Like ‘all I need is this soup for the rest of my life’ epic. Now I have a new fave and hope they have it on the menu often.Thank you to all of the Greens & Grains team for your dedication to impeccably healthy foods, and for being top tier in service. You are amazing!!

I've had their salads before, but stopped by recently for lunch! TBH I was craving noodle soup but wanted to go for something healthier. I got the chicken + salad combo here, and chose their Brussel Sprouts salad and roasted beet salad. The meal was very filling and yummy! The salads were good and the portions don't look huge, but are pretty filling. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a quick and delicious bite to eat.

This is going to be the Saturday I catch up on reviews, and after trying Greens & Grains today it only makes sense to write what I've tried most recently. It was a day full of errands for me today and near the end of them I ended up in Alameda. It l's been one of those days where I stayed hydrated but hunger hit me like a brick in the stomach around 3pm. I wanted a salad and yelped some salad places nearby. Greens & Grains popped up with plenty of reviews about the kale Caesar salad soo I figured why not. It's about a 7 minute drive from Alameda Landing and it's located inside Alameda Marketplace.I lucked up with parking on the street right by the entrance. I ordered the kale Caesar salad, chicken salad sandwich, and macaroni and cheese. The Mac and cheese was a 1 on a scale of 1-5. Those onions ruined it for me. I'm not used to that. The kale Caesar salad was a 4 for me. I opted to add the anchovies but I'll pass next time. They're just too fishy for me, and I call myself a seafood lover. I also should have asked for them to keep the croutons out of it. The thing is, I hate croutons, but these were manageable because they softened. Croutons add too much crunch to salads in my opinion, buuut overall it was just too many in there for me. So that's my bad. I got the last chicken salad sandwich and it was pretty good. I can tell it's popular based on it being the last one, and i like the leafy greens inside of it. Overall I'd give Greens & Grains a 3.5, but I am interested in trying their vegan curry. Also, the service was pleasant.

I don't normally buy salad, but my friend would rave about Greens & Grains... She was right. The Asian Chicken Salad was so good.... so filling too! I would pay extra for more protein next time personally. We ordered online for pickup and our mac and cheese was forgotten, but it was resolved quickly. Next time I will be more careful to double check my order before heading back to the office. I wasn't a fan of their kombucha on tap...not bubbly enough for me. I wouldn't get the kombucha there given the price as well, but the salad?! Yes, order the salad. It is worth it.

If I could give ten stars I would! We wanted to drop off some soups and salads to a loved one who is Vegan. The owner took the time to help me with this, even with busy Thanksgiving catering around the corner. I’m told the food was delicious. It was also reasonably priced. I look forward to visiting next time I’m in Alameda.
