Excellent value for the price! The portions are great and the flavors are even better. The staff is very nice and patient. I would highly recommend giving this spot a try. Parking is also great.

Terrible food quality. The waiter recommended us to order their oysters, but after eating them, my family and I got acute gastroenteritis. Not sure if it was because of the oyster, we also ordered sashimi. And this was the only meal I ate today.

This place has the best vegan sushi I have had yet. It's a bit pricey but the quality is there.

One of the best hidden treasures sushi restaurants on the island of Alameda.
At this posting, Omakase nigiri (10 pieces nigiri) for $52 or Sashimi omakase (10 pieces) for $48.
Good wine and sake menu. High quality sushi, unlike other sushi restaurants in Alameda.
Professional service with details.
Price value!

Came here on Friday night for dinner with my hubby based on good reviews. While waiting to be seated, I observed one of the waitresses wearing a pair of black gloves. She was wearing them to clean the tables, remove dirty dishes and then saw her serve entrees/ refilling teas & water wearing the same gloves. This really worries me what those gloves have touched before serving our food. Told my husband and he said not to make a big deal.🤷🏻‍♀️

Ordered Omakase nigiri (10 pieces nigiri) for $52 and 3 item bento for $29. Their menu stated it was premium sashimi. However, fish was paper thin (some not fresh) and the brown rice did not go well with them. They have already put soy sauce on top of the each nigiri which made it very salty. Bento was ok. Overall, not worth the $ and very disappointed with their food and services.

Will not come here again!

I had a blast chatting with the workers here everyone was super friendly and had great vibes, which made the whole experience even better. The food was really good. Turns out they use a special marinated rice for their sushi, and wow, it makes a big difference. The flavors were spot on, and the fish was incredibly fresh like, melt-in-your-mouth fresh. You can tell they care about quality. 10/10 would absolutely come back again.

Hashi Gawa was recommended by a colleague of mine. Upon entering you’re greeted with a low key but passionate dining room. Coming in on a Saturday around 1:3pm the place was lively with customers, always a good sign. We took seats at the bar and ordered the omakase as suggested by my colleague (pictured). The selection was AMAZING. Every piece of nigiri was crafted with care and discipline. The fish was fresh, the rice was rich but reserved. The fresh ground wasabi and sliced ginger accented each piece. The variety of flavors was mind blowing.

Their service was terrible. We ordered takeout and got 2 simple sushi rolls with sauce on the side. They said it’ll take 10 minutes. It took 45min! They knew we were waiting. We kept checking in but they said they’ll let us know when it’s ready. By the 3rd time of us checking, we realized the food was on the counter just waiting for be bagged for a while already. Then the staff accidentally put sauce on the roll without confirming with the receipt or us. They said they were going to remake it but it took another 15 minutes and they didn’t even make it until we had to ask for the status of it. They weren’t friendly and didn’t take ownership of the situation or worked in urgency to fix their mistake. The sushi was not fresh. Never going back.
