Really enjoying going to this local coffee shop in Alameda. The staff are the main factor as to why I choose Highwire Coffee. They are super friendly and welcoming. The only down side is I tend to always show up for a bag of coffee when they are out. I personally prefer light roast coffee which they have and recently learned that they get their shipment of coffee bags on Tuesday around 1pm (fyi). Can’t say anything about their espresso drink as I have yet to order one but worth stopping by and trying and experiencing such friendly coffee staff.

This coffee shop has been my go-to for quality coffee and tea drinks. My usual orders include oat milk latte, almond milk matcha latte, and chai latte with almond milk. Their espresso is smooth and not bitter. You can get your matcha less sweet or unsweetened. I usually order it half sweetened if I want it a bit sweetened. I've tried many other cafes and coffee shops on the island looking for the best matcha latte and I have to say this is my go-to place for it. It doesn't lack the matcha taste like some other places. It's smooth and not grainy. The chai concentrates that they use is quite unique in my opinion. They have a green tea chai and a regular. I continue to come to this location because of the friendly staff whom they remember their regulars and their point system is always a plus! Thanks Highwire Alameda!

Great people. Excellent coffee beans, perfect cappuccino. It's a small place in Alameda with wonderful baristas who love to talk coffee.

My daughter's preschool was on Park St, which made it easy to pick up breakfast at Highwire on the walk back after dropping her off. Now that she's in kindergarten I don't have the easy excuse to drop by as often, but still try to make it when I can. Even with coming by much less frequently the staff still remember my name, which I find amazing given how bad I am at names, and the service is always friendly and prompt even when they're busy. I especially like the seasonal drinks, and my daughter loves the apple juice. My go-to is usually one of the seasonal drinks and a bagel and cream cheese or these muffins they have that have an egg inside (did I mention I'm bad with names?).

Love the coffee for brewing at home. The location is convenient for me and is always fast. Of course, the people here are always very friendly.

Awesome rich coffee! I love this place..but when I go back on Keto and low carb, unfortunately not as often because they (still) don't offer heavy cream as an option for Keto & Diabetic folks. I'd be there every single day buying there coffee IF only they'd carry this. I've asked the baristas but each time, nope, still don't have it. :(Dietary restrictions: Awesome rich coffee! One of my favorite spots for coffee in the Bay Area! It is not a sit down coffee shop unless you are willing to sit outside, but it is phenomenal. Always enjoy coming here and the staff are amazing too!

Without a doubt, this is the best coffee place in Alameda. The beans are excellent, but it's the expertise and care of the staff that make this so exceptional. I have never had anything less than a perfect latte in the many, many times I have been here. And the pictures of local dogs always add to the big smile to my face. The baked good are from the best purveyors in the East Bay (yay to Boichik bagels and the amazing mochi churro muffins!).

Great spot for a mocha! No real internal seating but there are a few chairs outside.

Came by for coffee the other day and it was a phenomenal experience! Parking is available on the street around the coffee shop. The coffee shop is tiny and can may be hold 3 customers max. There were 2 staff members working during my visit with some opting to wear a mask. There was a small selection of pastries next to the ordering counter. Ordered a latte and it was excellent. Espresso was smooth and the temperature was perfect. Latte art was phenomenal too! They take credit cards!

Loved the espresso here. They use their "The Core" beans, which had a nice fruity punch (really did make me feel like I was biting into an apple). I do wish they had seating inside, but thankfully that a long table outside as well as a few other seats.Service was great (I believe it was Ethan).

I just started coming here because I'm trying to move towards tea instead of coffee and let me tell you the tea here is fantastic, I don't crave coffee at all after indulging in HighWires tea. I especially love the season green tea chai. I like my drinks Iced but I forgot to tell him iced this time but it was still delicious . And the service is awesome as well.
