Over in San Francisco from Perth Australia and popped in for a couple of beers, awesome spot and great beers, staff were super friendly and even grabbed some merch, get yourselves over and support these guys and have a cracking pint or four
Great beers and a large nice outdoor & indoor area

I don’t think you have any baring on the staff at Humble Sea in Alameda. The staff there is exceptional: Sarah ( the girl with the purple glasses). She has always been knowledgeable and helpful, friendly and social with all who come into the brewery! I’m a regular there because of people like her and Chad and J. The brews are exceptional too! I think you being derrogatory is uncalled for and selfish. You should be nice when you visit breweries…just saying!
This place is pretty nice and is located in a good location surrounded by other breweries. Today was my first time ever coming here and will never come back. Lady at the front Roz (IYKYK) black glasses was not nice at all. Asked her about the the michelada beer since it sounded interesting and her answer was "it's a Mexican beer it's doesn't come with the umbrella or other stuff" (in a very annoyed tone of voice). To me customer service is the first impression that makes it or break it and she totally broke it. You can tell she was annoyed and was just not happy to be there. Definitely not recommending this place and from what I can tell on the reviews I'm not the only one mentioning customer service needs to change. The seltzer was good though.
They have a great selection of drinks and the frozen options are my favorite, will definitely be back to try more.
There’s no bad beer here. Lager, clear ipa or hazy ipa. No matter, it’s all good
Humble Sea is my new fave (for a while now) out here on our little island. Their beer is delicious and wonderfully eclectic. We usually visit on a Sunday afternoon and the staff are always so friendly and helpful.
Loved the trip IPA Surge Juice even though a tad expensive, but I wonder if you can pipe some tunes outside and splurge a tad for something other then rickety picnic tables with flimsy benches to sit on?
Try the “Sweet Dreams” 1000%
Amazing beer selection but it’s the people that make a place and I’m afraid the bar staff really bring this place down a few stars and I personally won’t be going back until that changes.
Especially compared to its closest brewery neighbors in Almanac & The Rake, which are always a joy to visit because of their ‘humble’ staff!
Where on earth does the rule come from that one can’t have a splash of beer when the ABV is over 7%? I’m sorry but that’s unacceptable when paying over $20 for a 4-pack of beer, unless I am mistaken.
Compare this to Fieldwork's, Berkeley taproom for example who gave me a 5oz taster pour just the other day after which time I thought they’d made a mistake…
Sorry Humble Sea, Love your beer but this particular tap room is lacking sorely in any of the humble, I'm afraid, not to mention that the lighting in this particular tap room makes one feel like they're in a medical waiting room!

We stopped by on a Sunday because we were following the SmackBurger truck but were pleasantly surprised by Humble Sea! The space is very nice with a huge outdoor section with string lights and tons of tables and a nice little dog area. The beers themselves are high quality. I'm a big sour beer guy and they didn't have any fruited sours but they did have their Shoalmates. Its good, very good. Seriously, I wish I picked some up but will have to go back and get more!
Beautiful and sunny place to have some beers. The beer list is great with a lot of beers to go. A must visit when in Oakland.
The taproom is clean and has a hip aesthetic. I like their outdoor patio with the string lights. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back any time soon. The bartender said, "why don't you get a 5oz pour instead of another taster?" I had been given three little splashes as samples. I was trying to find a beer that I liked. I wish I had just left. I've never had an experience like this at any brewery, or ice cream parlor for that matter.
Best brewery in the bay
Great Bay Area brew. Intelligent servers with lots of knowledge of the local scene. Tasty IPAs and great selection. Highly recommend.
