Quality of the food is top notch, although they really need Coca-Cola as their main softdrink as opposed to the "P" product...

Truly best all around safe place on the East Bay!

Great local spot for breakfast or lunch. The crab cake Benedict is wonderful! Only come if you have time to spare, it's not a quick meal. Sit and enjoy. There are lots of tvs to watch sports too.

This is my favorite place for business lunches. Plenty of space to speak privately and outdoor seating. Plenty of safe parking and good food for any palate. It’s also dog friendly outside.

Had brunch with a friend who golfs there, it was my first visit. The food was prepared as ordered: we both had the waffle combo with eggs and sausage, coffee and tea. Our meals were served promptly by the most attentive waiter I've had in quite some time despite the restaurant being quite busy. The generous portions were such that we brought home enough for a snack later.

Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps from parking area up to restaurant. Easy access from restaurant to outdoor seating area, no stairs involved

The venue is attractive. The service is terrible--not because the waitstaff are not good, but because the place is understaffed to the point of nonexistent. Only one server for a huge room. The wait for the food was very long considering we just had sandwiches. The food was badly prepared (except for the fries). Two sandwiches with fries and iced tea cost me close to $60! and the sandwiches were very small (with a lot of lettuce to make up for the paltry portions). The bread was stale, barely toasted (we were not asked what type of bread we wanted, either), and squashed, as if the preparer has pressed down really hard when he cut the sandwich in half. I will never go back to this place.

Yesterday morning I had breakfast with a client.
I noticed that two tables had large parties.
Maggie was the only waitress and there were no busboys to either clear the tables or help with the beverages. After we got our food, we signaled Maggie to refill our coffee.....she apparently nodded, but never got around to refilling our coffee. We then finally saw the owners son and he acknowledged us and came to refill our coffee.
So here's my point.....how can management expect only to have "one" waitress to wait on all those tables, yet also bus all the tables and set up and bring all the beverages and refill as needed and bring the check?
Again, there were no busboys at all and just the one waitress and the waitress was also expected to work the bar.
Why couldn't the owner's son step up to the plate and pitch in to do whatever needed to be done? I did see him in the back making coffee, but he seemingly was talking to two friends and seemingly didn't care what was going on in the main dining room.
Cutting back in staff the way they did is not acceptable and the service sucked so bad, big time. Does management think they can save a few dollars in overhead by not staffing up to accommodate the crowd that happens to come in? Is Jim's doing that bad, that customers think their service can suck the way people were treated today? I have seen Jim's so busy, literally almost full both inside and out and waiters and waitresses and bus persons galore, but what, the people that may come for breakfast have to suffer with the service that sucks so bad! Trust me, Jim's had plenty of business today....actually too much for the one waitress!
Jim's will be sorry when these customers don't show up for lunch and/or breakfast in the future.
I personally will cut back patronizing Jim's due to all of the above.
Sorry, time to look for another place!

Didn’t even get service for water. 30 minutes later the waiter asks me if I’ve been served yet!! I live 1 mile away. Been this way for years. Seriously bad service. 0-10

Had some mimosas and tacos carnitas. Tastey tacos came with lame chips and some canned jalapeños.
Drinks were good. Service was excellent! Outside dining with golfers around. There is inside tables and bar with tvs.

I've always loved Jim's on Lincoln and a number of years ago when they opened Jim's On the Course it became my go-to place for a good breakfast or lunch and sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and warm weather in Alameda!
My recent visit did not disappoint: I had the waffle combo that includes your choice of either bacon, link sausage, or sausage patties; I had the latter and a big cup of coffee. Delicious as always!
I'm dining partner is gluten free and ordered breakfast with gluten-free bread that she said was the best she'd had and she wondered what kind it was... We'll have to find out!
Highly recommend Jim's at either location!
