Old school liquor store mart and deli vibes. Some nice table and chairs in the front. I got the heated sandwich that has hot pastrami and Turkey. This sandwich was beyond what I was expecting. Melty, spicy, mushrooms and peppers…so good. Got it with a toasted sourdough bun. For a little under $10 you can’t find anything like this anymore. Will be back!

My brother placed a to-go order for lunch the other day and I ordered the goodfella. Sandwich was flavorful and fresh tasting. Was slightly bummed that I ordered on sourdough and it was made on a different bread but still a good bread.Sandwich has grilled chicken, mozzarella, arugula, red pepper, garlic aioli, pesto and balsamic vinegar. Sandwich cost about $10 which seems like a fair price for how filling it was.

Delicious no fuss food at reasonable prices. Absolutely love the location and variety of goods stocked in the convenience store. The menu is impressively large with a variety of hot or cold sandwiches. There is a nice selection of sides too! Fast, friendly service every time. This place is an awesome neighborhood institution and I love treating myself there about once a week.

Ok, I'm updating this review and this time with my Island Burger. I'm telling you guys, their special sandwich's and burgers ARE SO BOMB! I am going to say this again, if you can't get in contact with them over the phone, going in to order is a lot better because communicating with them in person helps them and also you with how you want your food to assembled. The Island Burger, is officially my new flavor. Literally mushrooms, special mustard sauce, arugula and a fluffy bun are my main key words when going out to have a burger. The lady who usually takes orders and makes them, made my burger that day extra special like it was sent from heaven. This Deli/liquore store is my little gem not just for food, but scratchers too.

I would not recommend the Deli at Maitland Market. This opinion comes from the way I was treated by the Deli staff when I indicated there was an issue with the sandwich I ordered. I went in for a sandwich and ordered "The Sexy Beast"; when I sat down to eat the sandwich, I realized there was no avocado on it (this is the second ingredient listed). I brought the sandwich back to the counter and indicated the missing ingredient. The staff member behind the counter flipped the sandwich open, pointed to a smear of green on the bread and indicated that was the avocado and "that is the amount the boss says". I asked to have avocado added to the sandwich and the staff member began to yell at me, telling me that I would have to pay for more avocado and that they "weren't going to deal with me" and walked away. My family prioritizes supporting local businesses, and really wanted to see a local sandwich shop succeed. I also generally do not write negative Yelp reviews, as I want Yelp to be a constructive place. I will not be going back to this deli based on the way I was treated; to be clear, this is not about the avocado... the issues is about the way I was treated as a customer (yelled at completely out of proportion with the issue/situation) and that clearly the staff is not empowered to take care of the customers.

Excellent delicatessen open during the weekdays. Fast and courteous service at all times. Some new things have been added ??.... And for me and many other neighbors this is a very convenient market. Thank you Maitland Market and Deli..

I am working for Doordash, I arrived at the store and the order was not ready and they wanted me to wait to pick up the order for the customer for about 50 minutes.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I called in to try and place an order and got the rudest lady ever! She even ended up just hanging up on me mid order after trying to cut me off every time i spoke. I don't like to write negative reviews since I also work at a Deli. The Lady on the phone would sigh every time i said i wanted something on a sandwich! After she hung up on me, I went in to order in person and was met with the same foul customer service. safe to say I will never be coming here again. It's one thing to be having a bad day and not giving out optimal customer service, it's another thing to be completely disregarded and disrespected over the phone AND in person at a sandwich shop. Wow.
