Ambiance and the sandwiches I would say are the highlight of an afternoon tea at Mayala. Why is this place not 5 stars? Personally have low back pain and the chairs/ benches are very uncomfortable to sit in for a long period of time. The tea I don’t feel they steep enough leaves, the flavors of the tea is very watered down. Apart from the sandwiches the rest of the items on the plate are very underwhelming - the scone, cobbler, fruit assortment, macaroon and gummy are all just...
Quaint place with a delicious afternoon tea that has an ethnic twist. Very much enjoyed their curry chicken sandwich, Kaya sandwich, and Malaysia pulled tea (available on the weekends)
Very cute Malaysian tea room. Food was good but not really high tea quality, more like Paris Baguette. Unfortunately the tiered platter was too big and prevented my friend and I from being able to see each other very well. We had to peek through the gap in the plates. Apart from that, the tea was lovely. A nice experience overall.
