Their lemongrass chicken banh mi is excellent. The bread is fresh and soft. They give a generous portion of meat and it's perfectly flavored and well balanced. Enjoy!

Stopped in for two banh mis after work today, combination for my husband and the lemongrass chicken for me, both very very good. He's pretty particular about his banh mis and he kept saying "this is a good banh mi, this is a really good banh mi!" They're very full and not just a bunch of extra bread which is what I like, actually filling instead of just fluff. Will def be coming again. I also got the veggie egg rolls which are super good, my husband hates veggie egg rolls and loved these! Can't wait to come again !

Service: A+Atmosphere: B+Beverages: AFood: B-Lots of potential for this location. Smoothie is great. Viet coffee was great. Spring rolls were ok. My main concern was the peanut dipping sauce. Something is not right. It should be somewhat creamy. The peanut sauce was instead gelatinous, did not taste good. I'm excited to see some improvements with the food. The staff and service was A+

Only two small outdoor tables. About 30 Minute wait so it's a great idea to order ahead. The bun noodles were cooked perfectly and cold like it should be. Ordered the $2 add on egg roll which seemed small. I appreciated the freshness of the vegetables. The grilled pork over rice was good as well. I didn't try the Bahn Mi which I thought was steep at $12. Street/meter parking.

Came here 50 min before closing on Friday night. The staff was very sweet and friendly. Ordered lemongrass chicken and pork/char siu banh mis, vermicelli bowl, and one Vietnamese chicken salad to go. Everything was delicious and traveled well. The banh mis were packed with meat and veggies and the homemade mayo was so flavorful. The salad was crisp and fresh and the vermicelli bowl might've been my personal favorite item. Everything was amazing. Was prepared quickly. Felt like a great value. Very friendly staff. So glad to have this new restaurant on Webster!

Came in right when they opened this Sunday and ordered the tofu banh mi ($12 before tax). Since my friend and I were the first customers for the day, we received our order quickly. My tofu sandwich was HUGE and delicious. The bread was the perfect balance of crispy and soft, and stuffed with the fresh ingredients. It also had grilled mushrooms which I have never had before with tofu banh mi. My friend had the chicken with vermicelli served in a generous portion. There's on two very small tables inside and another two outside so there's not enough space if you come by in a group. When we were served our food, the place got really busy with other customers so it may be better to call in an order if you want take out, otherwise you may have to wait a while. Mango and Mint is a great addition to Webster, and I definitely will be back. Staff was also friendly.

Mango and Mint is a small little spot, but there are a few tables and chairs inside and outside for dine in. I ordered a lemongrass pork banh mi and shrimp spring rolls. The meat is well seasoned and the sandwich is packed full of toppings. I was watching one of the workers wrap my spring rolls and it felt like I was at Chipotle with how full they were. They definitely aren't skimping out on ingredients because my rolls had 4 shrimp each when I usually see 2-3 shrimps at other restaurants. I'd definitely want to come back to try the other items on the menu.

Fast Casual Authentic Vietnamese. Tried the Combo Banh Mii which was fresh and delicious and a very good size which makes up for the steep $12 price tag. If they keep the quality of the ingredients and the size of the sandwich the same I will be a regular customer as it is definitely the best Banh Mi on the Island and can hold its own against any other banh mi I've had in the Bay Area. We also had the beef/chicken combo rice plate which was a good portion and also had very fresh ingredients with a lot of flavor. Great job Mango and Mint team, you are a welcomed addition to the Alameda food scene!

What a delightful little spot. I love to support new local businesses like Mango & Mint. Mango & Mint had a soft opening on 3/15/2024. The menu centers around Banh Mi sandwiches. There are 6 types of proteins to choose from: spicy chicken, lemongrass chicken, lemongrass pork, bbq pork, tofu mushroom and combination. PRO-TIP: If you ask they will gladly add a fried egg to any of the Banh Mi sandwiches. I highly recommend. Its only a $2 additional fee. The other highlight of the menu is the signature smoothies. They range from $7.50 to $8.00. My favorite is the pineapple coconut. Its made with coconut water, coconut milk, kale, cashews, pineapple, honey, and coconut flakes. Yes, that's a lot of coconut, and it is on the sweet side. So I recommend saving that smoothie for a dessert!

So happened to be walking by so decided to get into line and trial the bahn mi. It was the lunch hour so there was a slight wait to order with 2 people in front of me. The menu ranges from typical sandwiches and other Vietnamese rolls, and some bowls as well. After ordering I again stepped aside to await my BBQ pork sandwich. As I watched the ladies run back and forth prepping the orders then take an order, it became increasingly obvious that either they were still getting their workflow in order. Or they are understaffed. Because all the food sold is pre-cooked. The items just need to be assembled. Having said that, the wait wasn't atrocious, just longer than I expected for such items. The banh mi is a good size. Definitely big enough to feed 2 reasonable people. I did notice that they don't use pickled carrots or daikon, etc. So I did miss that flavor inside. However, they do include pate in a few of their banh mi which I always love to eat. So I think this is an ok place to eat. Prices are not super cheap but comparable in the area.

Newly opened, Mango And Mint has a pretty concise menu - vermicilli bowls, banh mi's, rice plates and pick your protein. They also have egg rolls, spring rolls and smoothies. I went with the chicken rice plate, shrimp spring rolls and a blueberry protein smoothie. Good is the perfect descriptor. Everything was solid and reasonably priced, but nothing I ordered took it to the next level. Protein wasn't super abundant in both dishes: a lot more rice than chicken and mostly greens vs shrimp, but again, solid. The smoothie at $8 was huge, albeit a bit plain as it was solely blueberries, spinach and whey protein powder, but it worked. Overall, a nice little hole-in-the-wall offering fast casual Viet eats in a bright little store front. No seating available, this is take-out only.

Awesome, welcome addition to Webster St/West End :) Everything is so fresh! We got our order via Door Dash so I cannot comment on in person experience. The food is SO fresh! We got: Vermicelli Noodle bowl with pork- add on egg roll Crunchy Kale Salad - added avocado (perfect!) Vietnamese iced coffee Egg roll very tasty and not greasy I loved Le Cheval's iced coffee! This is pretty close. Next time will go in person, but you should definitely give them a try you won't be disappointed:)
