Good sized portions, pleasant atmosphere.
June 2025: The new ownership has brought a few changes to the old Monkey Thai location. Even though Tamee Thai sell the basic same dishs as Monkey Thai, the flavour isn't the same. These dishes are now bland compared to what you once got from here. Not to sure how long this will be my goto Thai place for lunch. I may have try the other Monkey Thai in Alameda.

I eat here about 2 times a month. I eat in the restaurant with my buddy, and I try something new each time. I love this place! I highly recommend eating here or ordering out.

Ordered to-go. Always the main street Monkey Thai won't fail you for your expectations and money. Green curry is super good. I love it.

I ordered take away. I found a bug in my salad and I grabbed it and dumped the whole salad in an open bag of Hawaiian rolls. Didn’t want any other bugs to start crawling out. I had to move swiftly. Definitely tip. I didn’t and the salad had a big in it and was kind of brown. I won’t be returning unfortunately.

Food is good, and the sauce really stands out. The staff is polite, and the vibe is chill with music playing.

Damn I really wanted to leave a great review but I can't. My order was garbage, I just tossed it. Greasy, dirty, dry, burnt taste. Pad see ew
How come all the thai food in cali is garbage?
we checked Google Maps for hours; opens back up at 4pm on Saturday. So, we waited in their parking lot for 15-20 minutes. At 4:03pm, we stood in front of their door to be let in for dinner a early dinner. Finally, someone from inside let us know they are NOT open for this evening. But, NO sign stating they're CLOSED!!!
We are NOT going back; they don't know good customer service or how to operate their business. (NO Sign)!!!!!!
Always good and they’re good handling my sesame allergy. Super fast service and very nice people. Everything I’ve tried is yummy! Good balance of spicy and not spicy dishes on the menu, and the flavors are all distinct and complement each other. I do delivery or pick up.

I always order the lunch special for $15.95 you can’t get a deal like that anywhere (drink, salad, small app and entree).
I always order Pad Se Eww with Tofu, it’s my favorite. The Pad Ke Maow is yummy too if like spicy!
The service is hit and miss! They only have one person serving/ taking orders (dining & take out). I’ve been in where people have finished and left but server hasn’t cleaned the table even when I’m checking out. I was there the other night and it was quick and done in 35 mins; last week I went with my kids waited 3 mins to be seated and after 8 mins of sitting down we left. Sad because it’s so yummy but waiting too long and they only had 3 tables and a couple ordering take out plus phones ringing.
This area is expanding fast and it’s only going to get busier. I would like to
See them thrive and highly recommend maybe a self ordering or QR code. Or have another second person work during the rush.
Def come! As well I would po refer this place than the one located at South Shore (been twice, food was blah but service was good!)

The server was really friendly and attentive. Many options for vegetarians and vegans. I had a combo platter with eggplant and tofu as my entrée with a fresh roll as my app, served with brown rice. I also had an iced tea and a Singha, it was $20.

Friendly staff. Food was okay. Came here during happy hour and was surprised that we had to pay $5 for a can of beer. Happy hour appetizers were a great deal
